I am starting this thread to show the progress that happens with my car as I build it. I found it at a lil used car dealership and picked it up for $1200 the day before christmas with a lil over 100,000 miles and it ran good. It was my only car at the time so it was my winter beater but now it is my project. It started out life with a 3.1 V6 but now has a 5.0 TPI out of an 87 Iroc.

Looks great. Coming along nicely I see. One question though...Why didn't you just go for a 350? It wouldn't have cost too much more.

 

Yea im not too crazy for the hood pins either but its better to have them than it is to lose my hood. I am trying to find some better looking ones maybe locking?

As far as why I did a 305 instaed of a 350 the reason is cause I had one layin around and its temporary till I can get the money together for an LSX swap

 

I am hoping to do an Ls1 Swap this summer.

Hood pins rule.

I will get some of those shots up as it starts looking a lil better lol. Right now my black seats are suffering from a bit of fading (i was storing them by a window ) so I am saving up for a set of new ones and the engine compartment is a mess with the freshly swapped motor there. I still have to hide wires and do an overall cleaning. But I should have some up in the near future Thanks for the compliments guys
