Someone help meee!!!

okay, so we're out cruising the strip last night and this super clean thirdgen goes by and pulls into the parking lot we are in. he saw our car and actually made a u-turn and came back lol. so it's a 1-owner 1991 camaro rs vert, bright red with brown leather interior, 56k miles!!!!!! wow, gorgeous... it's like showroom gorgeous, all stock, orig rims were in excellent condition. so after seeing that red, I immediatley think that the teal '92 we have needs to be red... that red is mesmirizing lol. if we paint a teal car red, professionally, of course, will it make it less valueable because it's not original???

I just spent an hour starring at the teal thinking "that still is a nice color" but I wanna change it to red! it's like the teal is fighting back haha. so can some people please tell me how awesome red is and how terrible teal is to get me encouraged? lol.

And can someone post some good pics of red 91-92 t-top rs camaro's?

That's a big change...and a big job. If you want to do it right, the engine bay willl have to be painted red as well.

yeah it is but it'll be worth it... plus no one around here wants to get rid of red thirdgens, so I'll just have to make one!

i have an extremely good paint guy who is doing it for a great price. he's been painting for 30 years and is certified and does great work for cheap. i've seen some of the cars he painted and they are gorgeous.

Re: Someone help meee!!!

Well i personally like red better (well wat my car is..lol) but idk thats an expensive paint job..if done right. Not just engine bay but both door sweeps, and trunk sweep. After all said and done (by a professional) its around $5-6K at least.

If i were u, try to find a camaro that is red already and paint that one and you have got the best of both worlds!!!
Check out my 86' camaro in my album if u like that color red.

get this, but the guy doing mine is charging $1,200. he's a friend. he's basically charging for supplies and a bit of labor that's it. I know everyone on here is going to say "you aren't gonna get a good paint job for that money" he uses high quality paints but charges very little for labor. he does all the work himself. he has a garage that he works out of. i was the same way, i was skeptical as to what kind of paint jobs he does but then he showed me pictures and all the cars in person that he did and i was amazed, he does great work. no runs, perfect spray, perfect finsh... he does incredible work for half the price you would pay at a reputable body shop.

Definitely go with red.I have a red Rs, no t-tops though.
I like teal, but red to me just makes TG's look beautiful.
Driving down the strip? You live in Vegas?
Does you friend charge 1200 for everyone or just you as like a "friend" price?
