92 Firebird LSx all cleaned up
Just got home from Autofair '10. Forgot my camera for the trip down to the show, so I snapped some pics once I got home. Few nice shots but the sun was getting pretty darn bright
Car has come a long way over the last 6 years

Hard to tell the hood is actually black. No time to respray it before the show. Not like anyone noticed with the hood popped

Silver Y2Ks really look good on the darker banshees. 100x easier to clean than the honeycombs. Im wondering if my hoodbird would look alright in gold or if I should order a silver one

I like this pic for some reason

wOot

Darn seats cost nearly as much as the whole car did originally. Starting to wear after 80,000 miles. Ill recover them eventually

Hit the big 3 last week

Re: 92 Firebird LSx all cleaned up
Im using the 4th gen overflow which doubles as a battery tray. I cut out my rust free battery tray to install this piece of crap which doesnt sit right and is hard to read the level on
Sooner or later Ill weld some brackets to hold it flat, but until them Ill grumble about it
The washer tank is currently AWOL too. Im going with a 4th gen unit under the front filler panel as soon as I stop being lazy

Looks awesome man.
I think you have me wanting to re-route my harness, yours is the cleanest install I've ever seen. I want my harness to appear non-existent like yours

jon, that's by far the cleanest swap i've seen to date. i only hope mine cleans up that nicely once the motor goes back in. i love the y2k's on it, and i think you should get your bird in silver to match the wheels.

Re: 92 Firebird LSx all cleaned up
Gas mileage was 20-21 because the fuel pump is dying. Stupid knockoff walbro isnt supplying enough pressure so the PCM is falsely adding fuel to counter the lean, but not enough to overcome the misfires so its getting pumped strait out the exhaust. Ordered a new pump today, with a warranty this time
When it was freshly swapped and running properly I got 27 driving it like I stole it. 60/40 mix of highway +70 and bumper to bumper city driving
My 89 2.8 has 341k now, but it definitely looks like it. The local JY has nicer 3rd gens than it, but it makes for a good backup car. Its as reliable as a new car
