Finally put some new wheels on my Formula... Ronal R15s inside!

One of the last things to be done... Car is getting a 9" installed this year along with getting painted.

Here is a bad quality teaser! Tires are 275/40r17 all around. I had to run a 5/16" spacer, and special lug nuts up front. Along with some grinding to the front struts/tie rods. Rear wheels fit without any modifications. Car is on Tokico Illuminas with matching drop springs.

I am hoping the suspension will settle another .5" or so...

What special lug nuts? To compensate for the shorter bolts on the stock disks?

Looks awesome! There is a 91/92 Z28 with them in my town and evertime I see the wheels I smile-that is the perfect 3rd gen wheel.

I ran the special lugs that are a bit longer that go into the wheels a bit to grab more threads. Since I used a spacer I didn't feel comfortable with running the stock lugs.

I'm going to have to do that so I can install the correct spacer in. The tire shop didn't have the longer bolts.

Yeah, I only did it as a temp thing because I am going to be Vette brakes up front and wont need the spacers after I put them on. I did put about 2k miles on that setup in 3 weeks though without any issues.

I picked them up off ebay for a STEAL. Guy listed them funny so there weren't any bids. I pick them up without tires for $760 shipped, with the windows already painted to charcoal

Are you enjoying how your car drives with the R15's? Took me a bit to get used to going from P195/70R14's to P275/40R17's

Ride wise they are nice... Less tire roll is awesome. I also installed my drop suspension at the same time, so it rode much nicer than when it had the prokit with blown front struts.

I decided not to lower it but going to look for the longer bolts before I install the 1LE brakes which I have ready to go. But in the mean time, I just want that tire rub to stop due to the incorrect spacer.

Looks great, hope you enjoy them as much as I have on my car. As said above, they seem to be the perfect third gen wheel. Pontiac/SLP nailed it when these were original equipment on '92 Firehawks.

I still get compliments on mine.
