It's just a get together for everyone to meet. It will be at North Point State park in Baltimore where we had it last year. No drag racing. Just a BBQ. Last year there were close to 50 cars. Check the other thread by ES87IROC. He posted some links of last years meet with pics. Don't know what time yet, probably meet up around noon or so

Hey Mike in Dover, or Spain right npw and Kuwait before that. We(spousal unit plus 2 kids) will be there for a total of four. We are bringing the Z plus the mini-bus with a grill and a few chairs, cooler and some food, probably some chicken to grill. Will also post this on the other forum also. Look forward to seeing everyone. Also saw a third gen firechicken in Kuwait.

Unfortunately I cannot get off for the 20th. As it turns out, since I thought it was the next weekend, my boss decided to take yet another vacation and needs me to fill in.
I'm like management without the pay there, ugh. I had such a blast last year too!
Hopefully I'll see you guys soon somewhere - I know I see a few of you occasionally in Glen Burnie sometimes.

Wow; well, we'll definately be able to get all the cars in one picture this time.
And I can give my new Cybershot a workout instead of my Polaroid camera. Update- the door is primer gray! If it's not raining Sunday maybe I'll even get to paint it.

Anyone got a "hurricane" date? If there's the chance it's going to be bad, I don't feel like doing any interstate driving -- or being that far away from my family.

Hey guys, it should be okay on saturday for the picnic providing the park is okay. I will post up on friday night/saturday morning on what it looks like, weatherwise it is supposed to be sunny on saturday.
For the new folks, go into the park and follow the only road all the way back to lot A, go to the extreme left side as you enter. I will be getting there a little early, but 12 noon sounds good for the official time to get there.
If the park is beat up or the weather is crappy we will reschedule, stay tuned for updates!

Sorry guys, but we are going to have to post pone this picnic for a few weeks. North point state park is about 1/4 mile away from Miller's Island, which those of you with power still probably saw on TV, in Miller's pond format.
North Point road is also closed off until further notice, so I will post back up with a new date once the park is okay again. I went to another park just a little bit ago to see if we could have it there, but it is pretty torn up as well.
Stay tuned!

I just hope I have my car on the road by then. My friend rebuilt my transmission, and he has my extra motor, that we would've had built by now...but, his community was under 4+ feet of water. All his tools, his cars, his house - his 650 HP Chevelle - soaked.
So I have to get the new tranmission in, and get the engine that's in my car fixed. I hate sounding self-centered, he lost a ton more than I did (I feel a little guilty that my motor came out fine), but he won't be able to build my new motor for months.
So...I need a cam gear replaced. I really wanted to get my headers in too - but to install my headers, transmission, and fix my engine I'm looking at almost $1,500.
I don't know if I'll have that cash by then, but hopefully it'll be running! I don't want to miss out this year.

Matt, I told you last time I saw you that I can help you out with any work you need done. I'll get your tranny in the car in an hour and do your headers the same day. Need to change the cam gear or what? Just gimme a shout and I'll give you directions to the shop!

Thanks Nasty! I got the cam gear installed, so the car is running. However, one of my lifters is pinging, so they retarded my timing. At least, they think it is a lifter. Not sure.
I still don't have my transmission and headers in - how long and how much $$ will you need to help me out with that? I really appreciate the offer of assistance, dude. Thanks again.
P.S. I'm getting my vanity plates back soon - AFTRBRN :lala:

Let's set a date for this before the weather really starts going down hill. I have been stuck driving a slugish minivan and I'm aching to do something with the TA.
Nasty when do you think you'll get those new rings installed and the car will be streetable?

Welp, as of today the park is still closed. From what they said, it will probably be that way for a while, so we will proably have to can the event for this year as it's starting to get pretty cold out.
Stupid Hurricane.

Hey guys, don't know how many of you would be interested, but if you are looking for another car event coming up in the near future, check out East Coast Cruise 2003 .
This is going to be a lot of fun, especially if we can get more cars in on it. So far we've got about 20+, but we'd like to get even more. Check out the links and see if you'd be interested in doing it. I'd hate to be the lone 3rd gen representative
