New performance shop opening in MD.
Just wanted to start spreading the word about a new shop opening up here in MD. Some of you already know about Performance Auto Fabrication, a small shop specializing in roll cages, welding, fabrication and suspension. Tyson has decided to expand the business into a larger shop and also do engine swaps and modifications including bolt ons and engine internals, transmissions and drivetrain. Basically everything.
Engine swaps, headers, exhaust, gears, heads, cam, intakes, suspension installation and setup, nitrous, turbo and blower kits, roll cages, subframe connectors, clutch/torque converter installs, transmission swaps (auto to T5, T56, TH350/400 etc.) gauges, electronic installation (Ignition systems, custom wiring, delay boxes etc. No stereos/TV's)
Parts include:
AFCO, ARP, BOGART, Comp Cams, Competition Engineering, ECAE, FK Bearing, Flaming River, Hooser, Jaz Products, QA1, Wilwood, BD Diesel Performance, BullyDog, AFE, ATS, Weld, SPD, K& R, KONI , Mac Performance Parts, Magna Fuel, Mark Williams , Milspec, M& R Safety, Moroso, Pro Comp, Moser, RJS Safety, Royal Purple, Strange Engineering, Stroud Safety, TRZ Motorsports, BMR, Chssisworks, S& W, MAGNAFLOW, SPINTECH, AJE Racing, AutoMeter, AFR, FAST...
Mods: I've tried contacting the Admins about possibly sponsoring the forum with no replies so PM me if you would like me to edit this post.

The shop is on Rt.140 in Reisterstown right off of 795. Takes me 35 minutes to get there from my house and I live near BWI airport. The lease was signed last week so we're working on moving everything over there now and hope to be up and running within the month.
He's thinking about doing a "Mod night", most likely every other Friday or first Friday of the month kinda thing for people to meet up at the shop, hang out and wrench on their cars. Lifts will be available for rent on an hourly basis with help from the guys at the shop available. It'll be a way for local people to meet each other, learn about cars and spread the word about the shop. Of course there will be a cruise afterwards

cool *****, wonder how much the labor will cost by the hour?
i also wonder if they will be a shop who doesnt leave greasy finger prints all over the paint of a car. My car has only been in 3 different shops since i had it and even the last speed shop that had it did a great job but left those big greasy paw prints on my car. I made sure when i was making $8 an hour changing oil at a gas station i never left a mark of oil in or around anyones car, it was rare if i even got oil down the side of the valve cover and i didnt take my sweet *** time either, nowaday no one cares...
Id just be curious to know if there is a shop in existance that doesnt leave oil on the hood or doors of a car

I'll make a post when he's up and running and ready to start the Friday night deal.
As for everything else, he's taking in work now at his current shop. Anything you need, let me know.

For the guy who asked:
SFC install is $90
Shift kit $145
And the cage will depend on which kit you get or if you want us to bend up the bars for you. Call Tyson at 443-277-6800

Any updates? Tony, would he be able to do the tranny work I need? I also need some SFCs installed.

I replied to your PM the other day. SFC install is $90, just gimme a shout when you're ready and I'll set you up with a time.
Roll cage prices are $700 for mild steel and $1000 for chromoly. That is for a custom bent cage, not a kit and it includes installation. We've got an in-house bender to guarantee the cage will fit perfect. If you want swingouts that is extra and depends on what kind you want.
