Anyone got to Union Grove drag strip?
Anyone go to the Great Lakes Dragstrip in Union Grove? I have been planning on going up there this thursday the 17th of september! I was going to be taking my '85 GN, was hoping to find some nice mid 12 second passes. But, the car is not ready to hit the streets yet. Still got some problems to work out. So I am taking my new/well new to me '88 Trans Am. It is all stock, just hoping to get some experience at the drag strip and hell why not take my 3rdgen up there. I know I will be running high 16's probably. I am just going to meet people and get some experience racing(my first time). Nick

Hey man me and my friend hang out up there sometimes on tues and thursdays. we're usually in his white caddy seville sls. he takes it down the track sometimes and runs low 15's. he's looking for a shop to do a custom exhaust for him so you'll probably hear it coming!! if you ever see us there come and say hi!! later

Will do!! I will be there this thursday.......the real street drag races.......me and a buddy from school.....He has a 74 Nova, 350, manual, cam, intake, carb, heads ported. I will be there with my 88 trans am..........you should here my lifters coming.........LOL......I think I may need some new ones.....but hey she has got 150k on her. It is all stock right down to the stock replacement exhaust the guy before me put on. I just cant get my GN running right.......not yet at least......would like to race your buddies car when I do. This is my first time to the drag races....so I guess it may be better to start off in a slow"er" car first. Hope to see you there. Later

I was at RSD!! I had the red/orange trans am..........only got to make one run got there late. 17.353 was my 1/4 mile time......sux.......I actually lost traction at one point.........was my first time racing so I was a little anxious. What is going on this saturday........? What does you iroc run? Later man Nick

I have run there many times. Any car I have taken there always runs slower. That track cannot hook for ****.
At least they have spruced the place up a bit. It used to be a real dump.

I was spinning with my stock 305..........so trackion is a issue....but there were a lot of cars there...................maybe I will catch ya up there next season as I am done for now..........cant get the damn Buick running worth a ****..............Later man.

j/kim sure youll get that thing movin soon. There is going to be another rsd this saturday at 9a.m. to 7p.m. It is also a test and tune sounds like a nice gn
