Mad AS H***

So i'm out of town on a job(as usuall) and I decide to scout the local junkyards. For what it matters i'm in Kewannee,Ill. I ask the locals where the JD is and they direct me to Cernovich's 1229 Railroad ave. I go in and introduce myself (i'm on the clock) and the fat man laughs. I ask about 82-92 camaros and firebirds. He says "I don't have any". From where I am standing I can see an 89RS,91Bird and an earlier 80's SC.
I say "WHAT'S THAT"?. He says "oh those?"and proceeds to tell me all american sports and muscle cars automaticly get shipped to south america".
Some jerk has a contract with the fat man and all our "GOOD" parts are leaving the midwest.
It also turns out they have a contract with the state of Ill to tow broken down cars off the side of the road. I was told 13 counties.
I had 700 bucks in my pocket and the fat man wouldnt sell me a power window switch off the RS.
I am sick and tired of dealling with FAT BA***RDS that wont sell me parts that they have and then shipping them to who knows where!
What do you guys think? Do you know if any of this is for real.

Oh and for the record I weigh 240lbs mostly beer gut. This post is NOT about his size!

most junk yards are like that it seems anymore. thats why i pretty much gave up on finding the parts for myself. when i first started to build my car, i met a guy that works in a local junkyard and i still only work with him. he is willing to go behind his bosses back to get what i want.

IMO it is still best to work with people like LFN AT U, 3rd gen resource, and hawks. they will go the distance to help you out since they also have a deep love for the thirdgens

[rant] I get that same **** at nearly every junk yard i go to. "i'm looking for x part out of a camaro" instantly they reply, "We don't have any." Hell even if I'm lookin for a non sports car part they don't want to help, its like they guys that work there think this is their chance to show their WHITE TRASH dominance or something, cuz its the only time they can. Worthless mother f*ckers! [/rant]

The main reason I posted this is to inform everyone what is goin on. It doesn't matter what you own; base model Camaro to IROC-Z,Firebird to GTA our most desirable parts are being shipped to places out of our reach. Even if we have the money to spend they are not willing to sell. It almost seems like our own neighbors are trying to cut off our hobby.

I set the same thing. Try E&J in rock island kevin. Last time i was ther (2 months ago) there was like 3-4 thirdgens there BUT they were going to get crushed in like 4 months when i was there so if you hurry they still might be there.

Wow, I didn't realise JY's were doing that. Then again, I've only been to Victory and whatever is in the yard is what you get to pick from.
