Looking for a t-56 setup

does anyone know about how much it owuld cost for everythign i need for the t56 swap and does neone have one for sale im not having much luck aorund here

just replace it with realistic parts then like another t-5 or even a cheap 700-r4.

defintily not goin to an auto lol but im tryin to get the driveline built up to accpet the motor im working on i emailer tko performance but im nto sure i have a w/c t-5 if not where would be a good place to find a t-5 that im 100% sure is a w/c

my friend just picked up two t-56 transmissions. one was given to him because his friend didnt need it and the other he picked up for $300

If the T-5 you have is original, it should be a WC. Otherwise, you need to look at original T-5's from 88-92.

Even a stock T-5 can hold up for quite a while so long as you don't beat on it (i.e. speed shift or run slicks)....

that what i thought but someone told me w/c were optins 88-90 then standard 91-92 its the stock transmission so does that mean itsa w/c?

AFAIK, there was no option as to which 5 speed you got between 88-90.

I've always heard that all T-5's between 88-92 were WC, and those before were the NWC BW type. There should be a metal tag on one of the casing split line bolts on your trans.

Get the numbers off that and look it up on Gearzone.net (I think) and they have a chart that tells you what you have.
