Was looking forward to see how your car is looking. New boards are different that is for sure. I think that they are more user friendly!! Just my opinion!! Lets see the progress BlackIce!!!

I am begining to think the same. Just read the new main page.......... So much for what ws on here, it is all going to be about the owner(s) making money. Maybe time to look at team3gen again.

As I mentioned before I have not had the car long but these are the things I did manage to accomplish since purchacing the car....

------UNDER THE HOOD --------

Accel cap, rotor, and wires

AC Delco rapid fire #5 spark plugs

Royal purple synthetic oil

Demon 650 speed Demon carburator

tall polished aluminum valve covers (for my soon to come 1:6 roller rockers)

optima redtop battery

------INTERIOR-------

black carpet front and rear

black t-top headliner

black interior plastic

black and grey rear seats (temorary untill i put in the black ones)

black leather seat covers (also temporary untill replaced with black seats)

manual shifter plate (in preporation for the megashifter i hope to get soon)

new center console

new tach, vaccume gauge, and a/f ratio gauge

sony explode cd player

boss 500 watt amp

infinity subs

pioneer 6x9s

------EXTERIOR-------

glasstek 2 1/2 cowl hood

new fenders

new nose and front ground efffect peice

new rear hatch (so i have rear defrost)

Z28 highrise spoiler (only cost $30 bucks at the junkyard!)

IROC grill and AMC cat foglights

rustoleum semi-gloss black spray paint (to make the car all one color)


I have picked up a few other parts including a 3:73 rear (thanx Jeff!) that I just havent gotten around to putting on the car yet and of course there is plenty more I still need to get but I think I need to pick up a beater car before I can really get started on this car the way I want to!

yea it does seem like a never ending project sumtimes. My goal is to have the remaining bodywork finished and have the car in for paint in fall. I am thinking about black with green and blue pearl mixed into the clearcoat. If my figuring is correct that will make the car look black with a teal overcast in certain light. But then again maybe I will just go for plain ole black it just has a classic feel good look to it

welcome to board......I'm in holland area.........right now I'm going to repalce my motor,spun a bearing. So have a backup motor to put in for now so i can roll around this summer.Hope to meet some member's this yr for sure

Im begining to put silver racing stripes on it 4/6/06

 

Mine is going to the paint shop next weekend!! Getting a new coat of red and adding a metalic grey! I'll get some pics up of it before and after!!

 

Thats cool mine wont be going in untill hopefully this falll so I am experimenting with different paint ideas in rattlecan till I stumble on what I like best

 

Nothing wrong with that!! We had a truck in that had the same paint scheme and I liked that!!

Im not sure I like the stripes what do you guys think?

 

The stripes are not with me as i am a newbie. Can't say i like them at all. Oh well my opinion will matter more with my large post count and my numerous post about nothing!

 

Newbie? I hope not cause that would make me one too! However I am in agreement with you about the no stripes thing. I looked at pics of my car with and without stripes and I think it looks better without but strangely it looks better in real life with stripes than it does in pics

 

looking good, keep the stripes, just make it look like you took your time on them. Any new about that hood?

 

It looks really nice ive been watching it since you got it and it looks like it came a long ways looks good keep up the good work! im still working on my 91 rs dont know what to do with it yet!

 

Thanx for the good input guys! It is the people on these boards that keep my faith and motivation up on my projects I will continue to post up more pics as I go! Any recomendations on what to do next?

Where did you get the new front spoiler and front bumper cover?

 

I got the new parts with the car but i also sell thirdgen parts so i got alot of stuff layin around
