I am here in the Chi-town area and haven't been able to find junkyards with third-gens anywhere. Help!

 

dont know where thats is but if its close to st.louis go to speedway auto salvage , its by gateway raceway ,they have a good 30-40 3rd gens

I was at u pull it in aurora saturday and they had 6 or so, city auto wreckers in aurora usually has a few. You could also check the local yellow pages, I know there's a few big junkyards off route 83 in burr ridge (I think its burr ridge just over those big bridges) south if I55

 

City auto wreckers didn't have anything. Nothing at all. Their third gens were stripped down to bare sheet metal. Not even the carpet or headliners were left. I was at the junkyard on 83 over those bridges. That place is huge but only two third gens and I got what I could out of those. I was at A+ auto parts on north ave in Villa Park and they crushed their third gen. I'll try to find the U pull it in aurora though, thanks. Any other places I'm not thinking of.

 

So are you in the western suburbs? Log onto the No. Indiana /So Chicago board. There are several third gens out south. U pull It..Speedway....and a couple just across the border in Hammond Indiana....just depends on where you want to go. Most have thirdgens in them...what are you looking for...there is also the thirdgenranch in Crete where LFNATU parts out cars and has a LOT of parts...pmail him...

 

Thanks. I'm in the oakbrook area and there isn't anything right by me but I'm willing to drive. I can grab anything that fits in my dad's Silverado. Need to find a trans am hood with the vents cause I got the hood bubble.

 

Call Denny Bruns aka LFNATU 708 724 6278 or hit him up via pmail on the No. Indian / So Chicago board. He owns thirdgenranch and has a parts out business for thirdgens. He is right in Crete so if you are in Oak Brook it's I294 south towards Indiana turn onto I394 south and ten minutes later you are there. Probably a 45 minute drive. He will have your hood and several other parts as well. You will be amazed. Tell him Andre refered you. If you get his wife she can help you too.

ebay? You can get "quality" parts on ebay? I don't know any of the sellers on ebay and that is why I don't look there much. Is that a no-no? Who are the sellers to stay away from?

 

theres a junkyard on north ave and kostner called "u pull it". i was there a couple of days ago and saw some third gens there. About 7 of them.

 

Yeah, I've got at least seven or eight of them right now for $125 each. Give me a call if you're interested.
