Been readin thu these fourms for a few days now seems like a lot of useful info so I finally made a account. My wife and I bought a 88 iroc with a 305. Good amountof body work needs done. Workin on going thu the wirin atm to fix what they hacked up try and post pics later of it

 

My list of problems atm...
1 wireing for fans is hacked up... fixed new one one the way
2 temp sensor not working/stuck... fixed
3 wheel cylinders leak/frozen... fixed
4 looks like the hulk grabed the radio and pulled....... chasing that down atm...
5 thowing codes...
A. 15... pending
B. 23...pending
C. 33... well pulled the intake off.... will be deleting all of the egr system can't fix it... do to lack of parts...
6 trunk pull down motor been removed truck being held down with coat hanger... fixed but in doing so need to replace the 3rd brake light.
7 both front seats broken... thought I was fixing but not paying 150 for used seats...
8 3rd tail light not working... fixed
9 oem steering wheel been replaced with a gt grant horn is hooked up to a push button...
10 starter or flex plate missing teeth... this is my fav. Problem atm... easy fix tho better then chasing wires
11 multi switch broken...
12 dome light and floor lights not working... fixed
13 body work... over all the car is not bad needs 2 fenders, minor repair to the rear wheel wells and 1 door.
14 speedo not working.... fixed
15 3rd brake light... fixed
16 switch for trunk release needs to be fixed... fixed

This car was bought to be my dd but now that we have it home my wife is wanting it fixed so she can drive it... I get stuck with our 04 trailblazer... I have bout 5 years exp. Working in a shop + 1 and half years of auto repair schooling. I'm a state saftey inspector.

 

The trunk pull down motor was missing but I found the whole set up for 10$ at a junk yard. Had to rewire it but it works and sucks the trunk lid all the way down with doing this tho I found out my 3rd brake light works but 2 of the 5 bulb sockets are busted so gotta replace the whole thing.

 

Sounds like you have quite a project with a bunch of little things and a few bigger things. You are definitely at the right website to find info, answers and advice.

 

Yea my biggest problem at is findng the wiring loom for the duel fans I've been to every junk yard with in a 100 miles of st louis nd no luck found most the other stuff I need tho

 

Knocked out 4-5 things today. Its amazing what u can do with a test light, and some time. Still not got it street ready but goin to shootin for Monday

 

Believe me, you can find ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you need on this forum. I have been piecing my junk together and 99% of my parts have come off TGO. Welcome to the site.

 

Well seeing the egr system does not work it ill be gone... I've ordered the block off plate for it and as I go thu everything and pull the A.I.R. sytem out I will chase the plugs back to the main harness and remove them to. That way I don't have 100s of plugs running around and am able to clean the engine bay up.

 

Working on my first custom part for this car, for the rear hatch light. I'm goin to make it so when the trunk opens up the light comes on auto. seen the switch is gone. Got. Few ideas will post pics of this mod when done. Should only cost about 5$ to do and 30 mins of time.
