Rockford Speedway?

I just found out there was one, and it's pretty close to home for me. Do they even have a 1/4 mile strip? Test and Tune nights? Does anyone else know of this place? Thanks...

I'm guessing your talking about Byron. I haven't been there but I have a good friend that raced the NMRA there last year. He said it was a decent track. It is a 1/4 mile and he was pretty sure it ran down hill. His Mustang did run about a tenth faster, there, then any where else also.

I'm pretty sure it's not Byron, it's near Mechesney (sp?) Park.

Rockford speedway and Byron are two totally different tracks. Rockrord speedway is an oval track for stock cars and such. Byron is a dragstrip in Byron (not Rockford).

The Rockford Speedway is really in Machesney Park. Right off of highway 173 about 1 mile east of 251. Byron is the closest 1/4 mile about 45 min south, if you are on your way north from Normal on I-39 take the hwy 72 west exit and you'll drive right past it.

New,

If it takes you 45 minutes to get to Byron, that new cam is not working very well for you....
