Car Audio Installer

Hey guys, if you're looking for an inexpensive, professional installer in the Washington DC, Maryland area, I'm your girl.
I previously worked for Circuit City as an installer, and am more than qualified.
Please call 301-641-7367, leave me a voicemail, and I'll call you back within the hour.
Or, email me at Jenslack05@gmail.com for a price quote.
Thanks,
Jen

Not people in general, just me, and just to people with less the 100 posts. Nice vocabulary.
It is a legitimate question. I know adds and offers for stuff are frowned upon, but what about offers for a service. I've not offered repair services in the past, would that have been OK?

Well, I think it becomes frowned upon when you come to the board solely for the purpose of advertising (which I dont).
So, throwing one post in there about services shouldn't be that bad; its not exactly like I'm spamming the board or anything.
Yes, it probably would have been fine for you to have offered your services.

Jen,

Don't take this the wrong way, but if all you have under your belt is Circuit City, you have much more to learn if you plan on doing anything more than slapping decks into 3rd gens. My reason for saying this is because large retail chains have no problems hiring installers with little to no experience, because of this, a majority of installers there have little knowledge. Most of these installers are "robots." They know to attach what wire to where, but don't know why it has to be done. Don't get me wrong, Circuit City is a great stepping stone to get into the 12v industry. I personally started in the field with Best Buy when they came over to the east coast. I currently have about 8 years experience with 3 companies, and am a MECP Certified Master Installer. On another note, I don't work on cars off-the-books for one reason... I am not insured. The last thing I need is someone blaming me for something I didn't do... and winning. (Long story)

Circuit City is not the only thing I have under my belt, and I wasn't just an installer, I was a manager.
I used to have the MECP certification as well, and I've been doing private installs for a while now.

I use to do installs back in the late 80s and early 90s, and its like everyone wants to be different. I did my own install in my 92 back in 92, and did it on the side at my house also. I left all of it after I made a mistake and it costed me about $650 in damages to replace a computer in a 86 Camaro. Also had peeps to tell me they placed 3rd in a competition because it was a plain lookin install. So if you do do installs make sure you have the insurance for it, and make sure you know exactly what they want, or it can lead to a lot of trash talk.

I myself dont know, but after the install, and all the wires were run down the sides of the car. Which I ran the amp power wires on the opposite side of the RCA connectors. It some how arced some where, and blew something. The person who owned the car took it to a garage, and sent me the bill. I thought it was B>S> but I couldnt prove it wasnt anything I did. So to make a long story short, instead of fighting it out over the whole ordeal, I paid his bill, and told him not to come back with any of his cars.
