Or maybe, just maybe it was all the track time, doughnuts, racing Eric, nitrous.
You should convert to a t-56 or at least a 5 speed.

i dont think it was the shift kit, i took my time with it and did it all correct. i blame the first 100k of its life. and im sticking with the 700 tranny.

i agree with sticking w/700r4.
not worth the $ and trouble of swapping.

I doubt a BW T-5 can handle anywhere near what the 700r4 can. I wrecked mine once already with the stock L03 motor, after getting it rebuilt and sticking it behind the 355 I have a feeling it's just a matter of time.
A stock WC-T5 is good for about 250-300trq, which is why GM never offered it as an option behind the 5.7L.

my dream tranny would be the close ratio richmond T-56, 5th gear is 1:1 and 6th gear is the .72 ratio.
i dont have 3k though.

damn you traviz i gave you my tranny and you had it for 5k miles and ruined it...and as far as me ruining athat tranny no way i only took it to the track every wednesnday and street racing friday/saturday but hey i gave it to him in perfect working order.
well speakin of trannies i dropped mine at work yesterday
when you have a lift and tranny jack it makes life easier i was able to drop it by my self in 20 mins... minus waiting around for bennie to show me how to use the tranny jack
i sent it off to get 3rd gear replaced that damn wine got annoying...it was cool at first but not now... plus im gonna have him look at that 3-4 problem probaly uneven shift fork pad wear or something...oh well ill have it back in a week.

transmission slipping means, n simple terms, your rpms climb like your in neutral, yet your in gear. sometimes it will be like that but it will catch at a much later rpm... or wont catch at all and youlll just rev like mad.
looks like i already got a deal on a built tranny w/ 2400 stall, coming this weekend. and as of this moment, im ripping out my axle with 2.77, and replacing them with a 10bolt 3.42.
i can guarantee 12's now after these mods are done.

Sorry to hear about the tranny Travis, looks like it will work out for you though. Good luck on getting into the 12's, I think you will this time.
Eric, glad to hear you are getting the tranny fixed finally. Let us know how it works when you get it back.
