hey guys
need help here thinking bout selling my third gen and getting a forth gen? what do u guys think? i love my third gen it is the car i wanted for a long time a v-8 5 speed. but i fell in love with the new cars with the 5.7 6 speed. i don't know what to do a lot of people say stay with your third gen some say go with the 4th gen. i want the 4th gen cause it is faster and i like the six speed trany and i love the way they handle and every thing. so what do u guys think i should go 4th gen or stay 3rdgen. for those who seen my car what do u guys think bout it? thx please tell me what u think ty

why not just swap in a T56 they have kits that will bolt in
or you could swap in motor/tranny and you car would be fast and a sleeper
as you can tell my vote is keep it

keep it, the only thing 4th gens have over us is better interior. with the extra money you save by not buying a 10k 4th you can spend on go fast goodies on your 3rd which is way funner.

what they said. you can change engines and suspensions and transmissions, but theres no way you can make a 4th gen look anywhere near as damn sexy as a 3rd gen!
spend the money you would spend for the 4th gen on suspension upgrades/maintenance(chances are you have a very tired suspension on your 3rd gen) and plop a better drivetrain in there, you'll be a lot happier than you would be spending that $$ on a less modified, heavier 4th gen.
and if you dont want to spend money replacing perfectly good parts in your current car, sell it anyway, buy a nice bodied roller 3rd gen and drop an lt1/ls1 and 6-speed in that, and i guarantee you'll get more bang for your buck that way(over buying a 4th gen)
plus, the value of a 4th gen is just gonna depreciate, while 3rd gens are already at the bottom, the only way from here is up!
