Alot of fun tonight!!

Well the LT/Y-pipe swap netted me 4 mph on the big end, with the SES light on, running pig rich and GRANNY SHIFTING! I'm happy with the top end gain, considering im untuned with SES popping, and I'm still running the stock 2.75" I-pipe.

My best time came out to 14.13@102 on a 2.4 60 foot!! Pisses me off that if she just had traction 13.5 would be there On a 1.8 she'd hit 13.4 maybe 13.3 if I bang the gears right. **** I need some MOTHER ****ING TIRES!!!!! 12s are just tires, lcas/relocs (in the mail!!) and a good tune away! GRRRR!

I'm really happy with the trap speed though, shows the car has plenty of potential if I can hook her. Just needs a tune and she'll have enough MPH to squeak 12s, imo.

I got the best ****ing timeslip EVER. I dialed 14.20, and ran a 14.200! I bet the other guy was like WTF when he got his loose slip

Harjeet was trapping at like 105 I think, better than the last time he went out. Of course he has an SES problem too. I don't remember his E.T.s. He couldn't hook either.

On the way home me and Harjeet played a few times from a roll. I kept letting off because im paranoid of cops. Finally we dropped them into second gear at 55 mph and got on it to about 115 maybe 120. He had me by a solid 3 cars, maybe a little more. Then some r!cer was tailgating me, so when he went to go around, we double teamed his r!cer a$$

Then I demolished a 5.slow back in concord. I downshifted and punched it next to him and caught the next light with him. "Yooo what it do?? Let's race!!" his passenger yelled, while the driver revved and pulled his rear bumper up to my front bumper. The light went green, I caught him and pulled a car before hitting second gear, then TRASHED him through second. They caught up to me and said, "Nah nevermind! I was just kidding, that **** is too fast!!" Made my night.

Did u get a vid of me terrell?

first of all i like the thank terrell, tony, steve, and robby for coming out tonight. Steve u and i know ur car is alot faster then the 15.6. Urbanhunter, ur car is pretty stout on the highway. That one good race u stayed with me till middle of my third, then my hp advantage kicks in. By the middle of 4th i shifted into 5th and thats when we let off. either way ur car suprised me. The ***** was a woman Best run that i got out tonight was 13.735 @105.9mph with a 2.35 60'. Not my best times but they were alot of ls1 running slow times due to the humidity. The colder the day went by, the better the car performed. At least i did couple nice burnouts. Either way i had a great time hanging with my buddy's

steve ur exaust tone gve me goosebumps. Plus u and i know that ur car pulls hard in third gear. from my recollection I used to finish the quarter mile in the begining of third gear. If the track was a half mile then it would been a different story

Did anybody see what that 89 firebird with the crunched up white hood ran?He was hoping for mid 14's or a 100 mph trap on a stock motor.

Ya had alot of fun thanks for coming out! After that night I came to the following conclusions:

Tony- Your car has an awesome sound to it going down the track.
Harjeet- Needs a catback!
Steve- Needs to start his 350 project because I shouldn't be able to beat anyone on the boards.
Myself- Pretty sure the flowmaster slowed my car down by .2 tenths and 1 mph. And that my burnouts are pretty sad.

I enjoyed the video though, the car that you couldn't even hear and did the little burnout took the win, yes! Thanks for getting it all put together terrel.

Ya I was wondering about that guy also with the smashed firebird who said he had a tuned port carbeurated. I had to disagree with him there. I probably could've taken him too, no one can stop my 305.

ya not only does he have to swap the tranny and rear, but now he said a lifter failed too. It's quite interesting.

Yeah madz28 does a great job in tuning. A completely stock car can gain 10-13 rwhp from his tune. Wonder what I'll get

I forgot you had the t-56 Tony. You'll definitely need to practice that shifting for the best time.
madz28 does a good mail order tune i read, for the basics, but what about a real tune?
nobody out in the bay tunes 96-97 LT1's?
If you can pull a 2.1 60', w/the LCA's, that mild tune and some better weather, I think you would snag a 13.6-13.8.

12s are just tires, lcas/relocs (in the mail!!) and a good tune away!
Sticky tires might get you that low 13, but I think 12's will take more work.
Either way, I'm pumped to race next week and see yours in action.
Who knows wtf I'll run, mid 13's if I'm lucky.

Hmm I'm hoping I can trap 104 with all of my tuning squared away and a new clutch (powershifting). That should be enough for 12s but we'll see. It's also a possibility that I'm getting 4.10s very soon With a bolt on car a mail order tune is all you really need. These people have had so much practice at tuning cars like this that a dyno tune at my power level is an incredible waste of cash.

With a better 60 foot I'd easily be in the mid-high 13s on my street tires, I just blow them off the rims every time I run though

I'm dialed in.

Obviously it feels faster after the parts, pulls hard and smoother throughout the powerband after the tune,
but I don't think a full second faster than before, 14.1 -> 13.1.
Tough to tell, just have to race and see where I'm at.

Yeah as we all know, it's always possible to achieve such times with a freak.
I definitely don't have one, have to earn every tenth.

hmmm i could hear big cubes coming out from the nova. Btw i've changed my heads/cam buildup on my ls1. Gonna go heads/cam forged internals with a gmr street turbo kit. First i have to find a bare ls1 block. My goal is to get a street friendly beast that could pass cali sniffer test. its gonna be a while though. Gonna get the 9 inch, suspension, brakes done before i get the engine peped up. SO the engine i have now is gonna to get an electric water pump and then im done modding this engine.
