cold air intake

tonight i picked up a new cold air intake from an lt1 camaro. Gotta figure out how to fab it into my car properly. any of you got some tips? looks like i can cut out the drivers side battery tray and the filter will fit down in there perfectly and suck up some good air. only problem i see is the intake would have to run over the radiator hose and there just seems to be no clearance so thats where i am hoping to use your help. i know this stock air cleaner assembly is choking me by now.

you need the hose and water outlet that was used with the SLP dual intake

Maybe you can use an LT1 inlet elbow and fab a pipe between the two? In my car there's a little hole for the cai to go into on my driver's side.

I don't think SLP offers that dual setup anymore.
Maybe it wasn't that great.

thats what i was thinking the lt1 elbow.. but my main concern is getting the intake over the radiator hose cuz of hood clearance.

yeah they haven't offered it for a while, I think it didn't sell good because it was for SD cars only and the battery had to be relocated. they should have atleast a part # for the hose, if they don't carry it anymore.
