chip burning meet 06/10/2007

ok i decided a few people need some chipz burnt and i have a burner and a day off might as well make a meet out of it i will be peforming the use of the hardware/software free. you provide the chips and chip adapter for your computer if needed.

we could do it at a burger joint or something

only one thing for some reason ive been having trouble with datalogging on my laptop i have even taken it to dell and they cant figure it out so i dont know what to do there other than bring my old clunker which can datalog but its good for maf only unless somone has a pcmcia cdrom reader.

Right now I have a mail order chip. I may come though to see if I can make any improvements to the chip. Can you also get my car running great and tell me what I will need to adjust to get my car running great?

it would be great to have you show up and finally meet you.

i dont have a wideband to test for air to fuel ratio or anything.

You can purchase chips/adapters at: http://www.moates.net/

I'd suggest reading the stickies in the DIY PROM board first before purchasing anything: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-prom/

I think you got these boys all excited Eric that you can do custom tuning.
It's one thing to have a laptop to datalog and enabling/disabling flags, it's another to know what you're modifying in the constants and tables, which these guys are requesting.

Meeting up and sharing ideas is good, but don't expect any free miracles folks.

plus I think it would be better if we did this at the track, test n tune night. that way you could better feel the difference in the changes that you made.

I know a couple people have this software. would be cool if all could meet at one track and have a real "test N tune".

I'm talkin' about 6/6 at the track, not 6/10!

Edit: What is that Steve? You wanna take it for a spin down the 1/4?

looks like you found your A4, 1.8T or 2.8.

I was talking 6/6 also, forgot he had the 10 up there. I work on the 10 but I'll come out after work.
