2 of 4 wheels bent

Remember that awful vibration I was whining about earlier? Turns out 2 of my 4 wheels are bent. They are both on the driver's side so I'm just done staying loyal to the GTA wheels.

Anybody got any advice on where to get some new 16 inch wheels that look worth a darn on our cars? I'd love to stay with the gold centered wheels but there aren't many options unless you go custom.

Happy friggin' Holidays.

Re: 2 of 4 wheels bent

You may want to look in the appearance section. There may be someone who can photo shop some wheels for you. Sometimes the 4th gen wheels look good. Not sure for Pontiacs, but I know there's a company who makes the 87 IROC wheels without the OEM offset (F/R). I also know that those wheels are real popular with people who do the factory racing as they are the lightest factory wheels offered. You might be able to sell the 2 that are round still. What about the ones in your cartoon sig?

Don't stress, H. You hooked me up big with these wheels.

I think I am going to get some TTII's like Del's and get the centers painted gold. It's really my only option if I want to stay with the same color scheme.

Offered you a nice set of 17's when you were here -- you looked at me as if I were crazy, remember ?

Anyway, offer is still open. 17" ROH ZS with Nitto Drag Radials, all 4, practically new.

Re: 2 of 4 wheels bent

Sounds as if they're going to be sold. 700bux for all 4 wheels/tires is a steal -- but, in case Mike decides to pass here they are.

Fronts 245's
Rears 275's

The car had the Eibach Pro-Kit spring kit, 1" lower iirc

That will take care of your issues for sure now. Let me know if you want me to install your rear axle.

Cool! We'll hook up after the holidays and check it all out. I got to get this axle out of my garage.

Oh... and this is the best I can do right now. When I get un-busy and can clean up the car (spend some quality time) I'll dress it up and take some more:

Re: 2 of 4 wheels bent

Much better Still not a fan of the mudflaps though but hey, it's not mine.
How does it ride now? Might be better once those dr's wear down and you can get some regular street tires. Looks sweet!

Re: 2 of 4 wheels bent

I got some free time after all.

The problem is completely resolved now. Smooth ride all the way through highway speeds and then some. These wheels definitely make the car look different and I am rethinking the mud flaps now for sure.

Enjoy:

These skins stick out a little bit more than the GTA's did.

Now you can see why the mudflaps are just silly. TIRES ARE TOO WIDE!

Once I get the rear axle and brakes installed, I'm an engine and transmission away from a hot car. hehehe

Re: 2 of 4 wheels bent

Looks nice but OMG LOOSE THE MUDFLAPS!!

In fact. I won't put the rear end in your car if they are on your car. Or when you come to pick it up the mudflaps will have mysteriously become missing..
