Its alive IITTTSS ALLLIVVVVEEEE
fired the rs this morning around 1030, workied till saturday morning about 3 am then saturday night i got working and had issues with exhaust fitments...modified it still wasnt right so.....fired her through the 3" cat
Startup went as good as it could have, fired right away, timing was pretty close, let her run idle for a bit to warm it up to adjust the timing so we could get teh cam broken in on a fairly decent tune adn low and behold the lady upstairs comes down bitching about the noise adn its knocking stuff off her walls so we just got it warm and shut down, i talked to her nice adn blew some soke and she's gonn alet me know when she's leaving i told her i'd wait till she's gone and set the timing so i can get it over to my dads to do the cam break in....but i'l probaly just wait and ge tthe exhaust buttoned up first i ended up working all night saturday and at 0230 my buddy left, he was a big help during the massive exhaust fitting issues, finished up around 9am but had to go get a plug sinc ei happened to break one,, the lady left so i went to start it to adjust the timing and the damn relay for my nss burned up again, i'm on my third in a few months, so i didnt get around to it, she was home by the time i got back
She sounds real healthy, got a nice lump to her, not major but enough to notice, very little smoke on initial startup, no ses lights .....I'm itching to take her out, its like an entire different car, she's a beast now thats for sure hopefully this weekend i wanted to debut it at sonic friday since my grandpa's in town and he's never seen it before but i'm not gonna push it, hoping to be able to get to the dust off on the 21'st

ah its not there anymore????? i have a pic i didnt load of me at about 4am....its ugly
I stayed with the tbi but i heavily ported and polished the tbi, injector spacer, manifold to tbi spacer.....THe exhaust should be done tomorrow, hoping to get the hood on wed night, break in the cam thursday through the muffler adn then 8 ft of aluminum vent tube into the old ravin 2.5" crossflow muffler i had on the car first......i gotta try to keep the neighbors from calling the cops once i start breakin i cant stop....have friday off for my sisters graduation so i'm hoping to roll it out thursday night after break in and take it for a spin then wash it, take it out early friday morning, drive it abit, recheck everything, change the oil.......
If all goes according to plan i am shooting to have it to sonic friday night....even if the washing and hood doesnt get done.....should be at spring dust off on sunday.....cant wait to unveil it for the year with the airride and new motor

Yea. Thats my boy Paul! I am happy that you got everything done. I remember talking to you about your air ride problems and such. Its great to see a third gen come together. I'd have to say this, and I know I might sound like your dad, but I am proud of you. I am glad that there are people who believe in 305 TBI and I am glad you now have a car that can back up its mean looks.
I've read a thread on here where a guy had over 400 horsies from a supercharged 305 TBI. So you all know where sasa's money is going for next two years. Re-build the 305 (you heard that right) forged it and supercharge it baby. I have had bad times with the TBI, but I've seen the light. So Paul, and Russ are my insipiration, and Kelly too!
One hot looking rally sport (real slow ... not anymore).
Good luck bro.

Oh, and I love your little sig.
"If it aint broke, brake it so that you can fix it" I've been doing that since I bought the car. Although all the brakings were on accident (like strip the screw on the exhaust manifold collector, its a biatch and a **** all wraped up in a burrito combined with hot sauce to form the biggest pain in the *** ever)

Only you can make this call, but it might be a good idea to take a break from it for a day or two (if you can). But keep this in mind:
You're really close to having it done. Maybe take a break for a bit, get a bit of perspective back, & attack it again when the frustration level's dropped a bit. Besides, if you were to sell it, you'd probably always regret it - you'd be kicking your own *** so much there wouldn't be time for Sasha to do it!

yeah, don't give so quickly Paul....building my two thirdgens wasn't smooth sailing either and a lot of times it came to the point where i thought of doing a lot worse with them than you did out of frustration but I still held on....now i can enjoy them and look back at those times and shake my head

DUDE take three steps back and put the BFH down lol.........Like they said whatever deadline you are trying to make just let it go..... its almost done and you will have tons more places to go with it down the road....take a break for awhile then step back in and it will go better. Believe it or not you will forget all the frustration when its done.

well guys that was alot of frustration talking last night...turned out to be a stupid mistake that neither myself or my buddy picked up, i had the adapter from the ypipe to the cat too far into the cat and onto the ypipe, started messing with it when i got home and it was a simple fix, getting up early in the am, not gonna put the hood on just yet unless my buddy and i both have time before sonic, i'm gonna hit it with the duster and a good wet sponge and clean her up, finish up bolting the pipes together, get it on the ground and get the timing adjusted and take her out.....still have to clean up the a/c wiring until i find out what i cna get rid of and what i have to hide, do some bay detailing and i WILL be at sonic friday night....as lon gas i dont break it or its raining

Glad to see you didn't get crazy an try to sell her. Sounds like thing are coming around nicely now that you have worked out the kinks. i still can't wait to see your detailed engine compartment, or hear that bad beast run. I wish I was a little closer I might try to come down later today to see it, but the weather is nice and boats need to be in water.
