Anyone have a Flatbed Tow truck connection

I'd rather give my business to a fellow thirdgenner...so if anyone has a flatbed, I'm looking to get my Camaro towed from Palos Hills to Joliet later on this week to get an exhaust fabbed up, and then towed back once completed. Lemme know.

Thanks,
- Joel

possibly i could hook up with you for that if you could pay for trailer rental and my fuel for a day. i need to trailer my car from my house to glenwood and back the same night, so if you wanted to pay my gas from palos to joliet and back along with trailer rental i'd do it for you. Basically i'd fill my tank from your house and then do your running around, when i get back to your house, you'd fill my tank back up and consider it done. then that night i can use the trailer to move my car out to get wetsanded and buffed. I believe trailer rentals are pretty reasonable through U-haul, although this is assuming your car runs enough to drive up the trailer, exhaust on it or not of course doesn't bother me.

lol

Steve beat me to it.

Grab a U haul and find a friendly person with a truck.

Cost you a $100 instead of $150-200 for a flatbed that far.

later

Excellent suggestions guys, I did think about renting a trailer since we have a Tundra pickup, but unfortunately the car is immobile at the moment so I think it would have to be winched. My exhaust guy said to get it on the truck backwards, so it could be let down on the lift forward. I've gotten a response on MFBA from a guy in Tinley who will do it for $55 hook up and 1.75/mile, so about $105 ea way which seems alright. Does that seem good?

Thanks,
- Joel

105 each way....wow, that's 210 out the door. i wouldn't imagine i'd use $150 in gas towing your car back and forth, but who knows. why are you getting the exhaust done up if the car can't even start yet?

Just found out my insurance will cover half the cost for the towing, so it'll only cost me $105 when it's all said and done.
Haven't created a PROM for the new engine yet so the car isn't ready to go yet. Once the exhaust is complete (dual 3") the final step will be tuning the new engine and finally getting it on the road!
