91 L98

Hey guys, I am going to be purchacing a new car in a week and here is a list of mods it has. I would like to hear some educated oppinions of what it might run in the 1/4 mile. thanks.

The car is a 91 Z28 with a 50,XXX K mile L98 in it, It has...
TPI Specialties: SLP:
Big Mouth intake manifold 1 3/4 Jet Hot coated headers
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator Stainless Y-Pipe
52mm throttle body w/ air foil Stainless cat back exhaust with Jet
Ported and Polished plenum Hot coated tail pipes
Intake Runners (polished)
MSD:
6AL ingition box
Cap and Rotor Crane Cams:
Coil Gold Series Roller Rockers
160* hypertertech therostat and a custom burned chip.
It also has upgraded 3.42 gears in the back. With... you guessed it, an auto trans. but with Vette pumps.

well they are good for mid to low 14's stock so i'd say into the 13's with ease... only one real way to find out as you know. but my guess is 13's.

Yeah, that is what I was figuring. I hope it will be at least 13.5, that would be nice. maby some other L98 owners can chime in. One more thinm it also has a pro kit and global west LCAc but I'm not sure if it has LCA relocation brackets.

I'd say mid to high 13's. Sounds like a nice car, although I believe whoever put the 52mm throttle body on there wasted their money. No way that car needs it....yet. Guess that depends on what plans you may have.

with that mileage (STOCK) your l98 would run mid to low 14s, with those mods i agree with the others, either mid to high 13s with a good 60ft start.

52mm throttle body on there wasted

Yeah i agree i dotn even think it produces anything. My Cousin had it on his 90 Iroc L98, and i yelled at him cuz he was just wasting money and could be saving it for somthin better. But no, he bought it and it didnt do ****.

I'd bet on low-mid 13's with a really good launch/tires.

I have a similar combo except I have a SLP Loudmouth cat-back and factory TB, Intake and runners with 180,000 miles. Best time in sig is from last fall in good air. I usually run 13.7-13.9 @100, depending on traction and weather. If I ever get around to picking up a set of dedicated track only wheels and tires, I should run 13.50's easy. With the low miles and the much better intake, I'd expect low to mid 13's as well, if traction doesn't become an issue but it should. That being said, get some lightweight racing wheels and ET Streets and shoot for high 12's.
