Went to the track...

It was at Grand Bend Motorplex and it was my first time at a track.
First 2 runs were bad...15.2 and 15.7. I was on street tires with 35psi in them, I spun bad on those 2 runs since I tried to launch. Went back to the pits...set tires@25psi and took out the air filters. No launch this time...walked it out.
R/T... .542
60'...2.16
330...6.01
1/8...9.206@76.55
990...11.95
1/4...14.315@96.42

I have some Nitto DRs but have no rims for them or money to get my other ones mounted on them. They guy I purchased it from said his best was 13.79@102 with the Nittos. I know it atleast ran a 13.87@98.49 since he showed the video. So what do you guys think? Should it have enough in it to run a high 13 with the Nittos? Keep in mind I could actually launch with them at about 2-2500rpm.

did you buy your car from a guy named Bob in Windsor?

Grand Bend also has racing on wednesday nights, cheaper, like 10 or 15 bucks (i actually have some coupons that make it only $5) and less people there. they dont glue the track very much though.

Yeah, that was my car. I owned it for 9 years before I sold it to Rob. Apparently he didn't hang onto it for long.
I used to run it on Nitto's for a few years. The last year I had it I was using ET Streets. They were great, hooked awesome.
Always ran high 13's with the ET Streets.

You don't need a big burnout. Just see some smoke and roll it out. I found 18 psi worked good for me. Didn't go any lower because it hooked good with 18, probably could have went higher.
Let me know how you make out.

Bob

Darbleinad, my brother might be going up there again tomorrow. He has a red 91 Talon TSI...should be in the 14s. Let me know if ya see him. What times do you expect run? If he does go, I'll tell him to be on the look out for an 84 T/A.
