Will I make it?
Im just finishing up my manual to auto tranny swap. Put a TH350 in it with 2800 stall and 4.10's out back. My RPM range is somewhere around 2000-7000. Will I make to the end of the track? Seems like I might be running out of gear and RPM's.

What size tires are you using? Unless you are trapping at real big mph, you'll be fine going through at 7000. With 26" tires you can trap at 132mph and with 28" tires, 142mph.

So you think I'll be alright then? I thought I would be. I have 28in tires on it now, but my drag radials are smaller, I guess 26.
Do you have a simalar setup?

Going to depend on hp as well, more power the faster you will accelerate and the more rpm you will trap.
I run 4.11's with my 28" tires and trap 6600
Smae gears last year with 29.5" tires I trapped 59-6000

Gotcha. So do you think I'm not going to run out of gear or have to let off near the end of the track at all? Judging by your full race setup, it looks like I'll probably be ok, considering I'm way more mild as far as horsepower. I just want to know if I have to low of gears in it, and if I'm going to be topping out too quick to even finish with full throttle.

If your set up to make power in that range you'll be fine. You just want to be sure your combination as a whole is working together, if your intake, cam, convertor, gears are not in synch your leaving alot on the table. A lotta guys over gear and the car runs out of steam rather quickly-example would be 4.10's in a TPI car that normally tops out in power at 4500rpm, sure it accelerate fast, but they could be going faster-if that make any sense.
I think if you run the 26" tires, especially if theyr'e radials you may have some traction issues and will be spinning alot higher rpm since the gear is tall and tire is short. 28" might be a better option for that gear, or go back down to a 3.73 with the 26" tires.

I have a pretty mild 350 with a th350, a simmilar converter, and 4.10 gears. Last year with the 26" drag radials I would shift at 6000 and go through the traps at 6000. You should be fine with those gears and set-up.

Yep, she's all back together. *knocks on wood*
that 1/8 mile bash sounds kinda fun... We have our first street night on the 29th, and I've got a score to settle with a stang
So as long as i'm not dead tired, I might come up. We'll have to wait and see how everything goes between now and then.

.....like you said knock on wood.If your hitting the night drags, and they're like ours you'll be there till 3-4am and it'd be a waste of money entering a actual race since you'd be dead on your feet from racing all night then literally load the car and drive up here
Good luck, and show'em how to get'r done
