5 point harness required?
Is a 5 point required for the 11 sec. bracket, or can I ditch the crotch belt and get away with a 4 point? Anyone familiar with the rules?

Thank you for your replies. If my seats are not equipped with a slot for the crotch belt, can that belt legally go around the front edge of the seat?

Nothing says you need to have an aftermarket seat. I ran a factory style seat in my car for many years.
The crotch belt is allowed to wrap around the front of the seat however the mounting point still needs to be under the driver's body.

Thank you very much for the information. I have recently spent a small fortune on these seats and really don't want to get rid of them.

Ya, I know. Ive been saving for a while now, but a recent accident (dropped the rear hatch when trying to remove it without any help) has me repainting the car, which is using up those funds rather qickly.
It's probably going to be a while before I get a new rear. Just have to baby it (if there is such a thing) this season.
Thanks again for your help sorting this stuff out!
Jesse
