I need to know a place to find

Used tires, for a pretty good discount. Is there any place on the island. I'm looking for my friend. He needs like 215, 60, or 225 60, 15s, Its for his crappy musty lx, so I figured you all may know of some place on here to get used tires, for a pretty good deal. Let me know. Thanks.

Tirerack.com always has the best prices for tires. Locally, there is one kinda good place in Aiea area for tire prices. I don't think they have used tires for sale though. Can't remember the name of the place. Hawaiian Tire????? Something like that. It's in the Harbor Center behind Cutter Ford.

Cheapest place with the most used tires are on the cars at the Army salvage yards at Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter. I think the wheels and tires are about $25. Most places won't sell used tires because of inherent liability issues.

I think it was somethin' like $10 per used tire and $15 per wheel & tire at the base. Probably can't beat that. At Ft Shafter there were always bunch of good tires, even outside of the actual yard in the parking area.

However, I will always recommend buying not just new tires, but the best you can afford. Tires make all the difference and you'll wish you spent the extra $100~200 if you ever get caught in a bad situation.

Most major tire manufacturers offer charge cards. Sears has their card too. Tell him to buy a pair at a time if he has to- and always put the new ones on the rear.

Oh believe me. He is not worried about the preformance value of the tires. His car has the worst engine ever put into mustys, I think he has got a rating of like 75 hp, man it dogs going up the H2

I know a place with cheap used tires in Pearl City, but they sit out in the rain so not sure how safe they are. I can also get him some tires for free since I rummage used tire bins alot (hey what can I say I like to drift hahaha) and I see those sizes pretty often. But again, cant say these would be safe for normal daily driving. The only way to get a known safe tire is to buy a new one. I wouldnt chance it. But hey if he straight dosnt care I can probably hook you up.

Cool Shawn. He really dosnt care that much, as long as its got more tread on it than it does now. Only the front 2 need replaced, I think. I gotta ask him, to find out fer sure. He just needs some tires with some treads on them.

Think anyone could score me a couple of 14"s?

205 width give or take. It doesn't even need to have tread left, just needs to hold air.

Cool. The ratio doesn't really matter, especially if you can find a pair of the same size.
