Easiest way to figure out your problem is to get a paper clip and short terminals A & B on the diagnostic connector in the car under the steering wheel over to the right. turn the ignition in the on position but dont start it, the engine light will flash codes, long flashes indicate increments of 10 and short flashes increments of one. Next get a Chilton service manual and look up the code. If I lived near you I would lend you my Auto xray code scanner...

hope this helps

I think Checker will read them for you. Might even clear them too if they can.

I'd do what Crusher said. Ignore code 12 as you'll get this since the engine isn't running. Give us a little more info on your TG so we can help you better!!!

You get this figured out yet? Did you swap the EGR or no?

yes, i figured out how to read the codes off the computer......

I used the "paperclip" method...

If anyone wants to learn how to read the codes off the copmputer, just shoot me a Email i will answer any questions.

The bigger problem i am having now, is still debatable.. im almost at a loss i just dont know what the problem could be.

This seems to be the latest and greatest...

...after finding the crappy coil wire, I'd suggest you check everything else down stream from there, too...coil wire, cap, rotor, 8 plug wires and spark plugs.

That's gonna be a little hard to do considering we don't have any of dem stores here in Hawaii!!! ...but yanno Checkers may offer the same service. Then again...it's a moot point...he already pulled the codes with the paper clip!

yeah that paper clip trick worked nicely...

so the car has like 4 total problems.. but then at other times everything is peachy... makes no sense at all..

I think the ECM is just acting stupid.. because everything is just crazy...

Today i did a 3 point turn at like 3 mph.. and the whole car died.. no poweer at all .. anywhere..

maybe the battery isnt connected as tight as possible..

but thats not the case.. its so mind boggling..

so i have a ECM problem i think, a VGR valve problem or solenoid.. a crappy vaccum hose problem... a ignition switch problem, my window motor is gone, and my coil sucks bad too... lol.. go figure..

To rule out my battery and alternator(for my power problem, (random power loss at total random, then recovery (stereo))) i am going to take my battery and alternator into checkers auto parts, and have them test both.. Pretty Nuts huh ? and im broke no money.. and hav like 50% of the tools i need lol.. my life sucks..

After work tommorow, i will have the cash to buy a new coil, new spark plug wires, and spark plugs, cap/rotor

Thats everything for the ignition to be rules out, correct ?

I should grab a new ignition switch too..

well the reason i told him to go to an advance was because we print the codes out on paper so that you could read them instead of counting flashes
