not that no one knows anything they just don't bother to reply to a post where someone hasn't searched the boards.

I think most people prefer the ATI Procharger. I have one my self. The installation was a little tough. You definately need some mechanical skills and really good fabricating skills to be happy with install. As far as tuning goes, I'll let you know how that is as soon as this damn white stuff is gone from the ground.

Do a search on the ATI Procharger. there is loads of info and posts here. The reading I did here and the fact that it comes with an intercooler sold me.

Weiand 6-71 would take care of ya....

But seriously, I'd go with a roots type blower. Probably a Weiand 142 or 177. There's a writeup somewhere on here (maybe it's a tech article, I can't remember) that tells you how you can make a solid 500hp and 500 some odd tq with one of those puppies.

chefdan, why did you attach a picture of your car? It is not important that we know what your car looks like to answer the question.

In the future, dont do that because it takes up server space when you attach pictures like that.

Nice car though!

understandable guido. last time i posted on the power adder forums my car was stock and white. just thought all of ya'll would like to see a pic.

i am reconsidering a supercharger now. i am thinking i might want to hold off on it for like 4-5 months. what else is a good power adder that gives really good horsepower?? not the juice. i don't go to the track enough to use it. i am currently installing my hotchkis springs and traction bars so after that is done then what???

The main Power Adders are Supers, Turbos, and Juice. So if you don't want the juice you're stuck with a Supercharger or Turbo. If I were you I'd look into the Vortech (I think) kit for carbed apps.

if your tight with money, get a roots blower. a small weiand 142 is cheap ($1380 from summit with 10% off) and effective (+100/+150 horsepower) and easy to install (1-2 hours complete), and easy on the motor (5-6 PSI is all you need...) and it will even clear a small cowl type hood! (2-3" with drop base aircleaner)

If you see my post, 500 horsepower, 21 MPG take a good long look at it.

IIRC the 330 HP crate comes with Vortec heads. Nobody makes a lower blower intake for them do they?

no, but keep your eye open some of the tech guys I have talked to are tight lipped about it but they are hinting at it as the "no brain needed" idea for something to come out for those blowers.

I know. I don't have even have Vortec's. Was just trying to hint that at the moment he's either going to have to change heads or come up with a new plan. It would be pretty cool if somebody came out with the lower intake though.

Would an Edelbrock performer RPM + 3" Aircleaner fit under your SS hood? if so, then yes, but you would need a 2" drop base.

Figure the 142 weiand about 2-3" higher than the Performer RPM. thats not much extra space, but it certainly makes the motor think it is.

I will bet money it will not. Currenty with a regular performer, performer intake and 3" K&N and a dropbase i am almost out of room clearance wise. I know a roots blower is more than 2" taller than a performer intake.

Nice looking car - great black paint in that photo...

Even though you want a supercharge, I would say go for an adjustable nitrous kit and a fuel upgrade (you will need a fuel upgrade either way).

You won't have any problem with hood clearance, heads not matching the blower intake, or anything else. Besides, a blower (roots mini) will never add up to 150hp, more like 100hp. Plus it is easy to change nitrous jets...

Probably $500 for a full kit and another $100 for a fuel system upgrade (electric fuel pump & access).

A 350 LG4 is an LG4 motor converted to a 350 with all the LG4 stuff intact (carb, distributor, & computer).
