D1SC numbers after install and first dyno run.

Well, they set it at 6# of boost, and got 54 more hp at the rear wheel and 80 more ft lb of torque @5500rpm. I was thinking of having it at 9# boost but the shop suggested otherwise since the engine was stock. I mentioned most people on here are set at 9# or higher with no problems, but Bob (shop owner) said he burnt the chip and set it at the optimal air/fuel ratio. Any body have any ideas on where I'll be at for total hp and ft lb of torque with the mods I have? It just seems low to me but I'm still learning so maybe I'm missing something. I would just like to be able to beat me friends 99 Cobra at the track this year for once! What's everyone's take on this?

One thing is, look at your whole dynochart, not just 5500 RPM, cause with an L98 your hp peak is probably lower than that, more like 4500-5000 rpm, and your torque peak should be more like 3000. According to desktop dyno you should be making around 325 hp (at 4500 rpm/flywheel reading), and 480 ft/lbs (3000 rpm/flywheel reading), and your substantially down on power by 5500. If this doesn't fix your problem read further.

did you hook up a boost guage to verify how much boost your getting? Could be belt slippage or something.
Running the intercooler? if so 9# should be np. the base improvement range for a centrifugal supercharger is supposed to be 40-50%, which should have been more than 50 hp. if your shop owner burnd the chip he may have retarded the timing too much as well. You really need to hook that bad boy up to some sort of scan tool and pull some readings, really need more information to make a real guess. At the very least get the chip info from the shop, what he supposedly changed, as any of the guys here will tell ya, a lot of alleged custom chips really suck.

BTW those numbers were for a non intercooled setup, and an intercooler, they go up a bit. still bet you just need to read the dynochart at lower rpm.

i agree with the above; a procharger hooked up right should dip you into the 13's no problem.

as far as the cobra, if you can't run him with a d1sc; you have a few problems on his hands.....

Oh yeah, and make sure that six pounds is coming in where you need it, if your not getting the full 6 pounds to 6000 rpm, it's doing you no good.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow (Friday) and when I get the dyno sheets I'll follow up with all the info.

I should of had the dyno sheets before posting this message as I was going off of the infomation sent to me by email so it was sketchy at best.
