Do you ever post anything besides a pic of your "man's" switch bracket?

What's wrong with posting a pic of a product? People ask for pics to be posted and if it pertains to me then I post if I'm proud of it. Nothing wrong there. Oh and I do post pics of my car here and there since I'm proud of it too.

Actually I do and I post my pics to the boards because I know since these are rather new, not many people know there IS an option other than that generic piece. .....Just like to keep people informed like all of us. :-)

Yeah can I please pay for a cut and folded piece of metal to replace the free piece of cut and folded metal that came in my kit?

Nah B4Ctom1, I think you should just use that ugly generic thing while me and others opt to use something professional and smart that can be shown off.

You know there is something for everyone and not everyone likes the same stuff. Some people want whatever is free and cheap no matter what it looks like....others like to take pride in things they own. These cars are too special to me. Some people that have the ability to "DO" have taken time and effort to try to make things better looking/better working/ or just plain easier for those that also care about their cars and how they run and look.

Lets not get carried away now you are talking about the same switch shown in the pictures above the red white and blue? I mean I could agree with your position if they were like the competition products ones for carbed motors in billet and anodized, or even if they werent anodized.

Actually.......they do come for carbed, ls1, lt1, etc and it's red, silver and blue and also they are powder coated instead of anodized...that anodized stuff scratches really easy so they were done on a longer lasting way.

Can you tell me where to get one of those switches, It looks alot better than the one I got in my kit, does it come with the bracket pre-bent ready to install? I have a 1992 L98 with the stock dual snorkel air inlet. Thanks.

geezus Tom, I never knew you and I took such little pride in our cars because all the "accessories" aren't painted to the body color.

 whatever.

lol, or you could machine them out of billet aluminum like just about every other race-oriented bracket in the world, that is if you have more technology than the "cut and fold" sheetmetal technique. i could make one of those in the shop in 5 minutes and then have it powdercoated for next to nothing. it would be basically free to make one, but if i was gonna pay for something like that it better be billet and/or polished not coated.

Sugar.... these ARE aluminum and they do come in polished also (just for your information). Of course you could make something similar with enough brains, time and materials...anyone can make anything when it comes right down to it.

Goodness you guys are downright ridiculous about some stuff. Someone asks to see pics of something and I post my favorite version and just because it's not a big name company or one of you - you get all defensive, when really you know you wish you'd thought of it first.

no offense intended, but even if it is aluminum it would be a much better part if it was billet

I opted for an electronic switch. It runs off the tps and can be hidden in the engine compartment or under the dash like mine. It isnt real expensive at $62, much less than the NX version. It's great for a stealth look or if you're looking to unclutter your engine bay as much as possible.

I also run an electric WOT switch.

I have the schematic if anyone wishes to see it.

Not too difficult to make.. about $6 worth of parts.

but does it come in red, blue, polished, yellow of carbon fiber, mr GTA?

if not, then i WOULD NOT put it on my car, even though its going to be hidden under the dash away from everything.
