I need a bottom end to hold a 250 shot . . . . . .

I'm looking for a good nitrous piston rod and ring set up. I just found out that I have no compression in my #1 cylinder so I'm going to tear the motor down and forge the bottom end. I plan on spraying a 250 direct port. Either a 2 stage or a progressive controller. I have the standard 20920 kit from NX now w/ the GenX II. Will I need to upgrade the solenoids for the 250 shot? Also How can I tell if my crankshaft is forged? I've heard different things about the ZZ4 motors. Thanks inn advance.

Where did you get your eagle h-beams from? I didn't see them in summit. Do you remember how much they were?

I was also planning on studding the main caps. What made you choose ross over JE? Just curious, I was looking at the prices and they seemed to be about the same.

One more thing, Does Ross or JE make any 4.000" bore slugs? All I see listed are 0.030" and up.

My bottom end withstands 300...I have yet to shoot this much. Basically you need forged pistons, H-Beam rods for added safety over I beams and a forged or nitrided crank. See my sig. Also search online for places to purchase good eagle components just type rotating assemblies.

What do you set your ring gap at? I was told that speedpro hellfire rings are good.

I was also told that when I order the pistons that I should tell them that it will be a nitrous motor and to make sure the ringlands are farther down on the piston.

Sorry for all the questions, but I only want to do this once.

What kind of wrist pins should I get? Floating or the kind w/ the C-clips. What are the plus and minuses of both?

Ok, how does this sound

ross nitrous pistons
speedpro hellfire rings
manley forged H-beam rods
studded 4-bolt main caps

And AFR 195's for a little umph on the top end.
Think it'll go 10.50's ?

sounds alot like my shortblock, but ive got hbeams and a two bolt, i should be an easy 11 second motor car, with 3.55 gear,

so yeah, with good heads, and a 250 shot, you might go 10.50s

im also running heavily ported victor jr's. probably 220cc intake runners.
