just talked to banks..
I just got off the phone with banks..
The new twin turbo system is different than the old one in several ways, the turbos are bigger and placement are a littel different. The banks plenun is around 5 inches higher than the valvecovers and the guy I talked to guessed that it was atleast a few inches higher than the oem tpi.
It havent been put in a third gen yet so they dont know if it will fit.
just some info I thought I would share
Does anyone know more than what have been said in previous threads ?

"atleast a few inches higher than the oem tpi
" Have you looked under the hood? There's probably less then an inch between the top of the TPI and the hood, and the hood curves down on both sides.

yes, that is what worries me. The guy I talked to said it would probably be a couple of months before they had the chance to put one in a thirdgen..guess I will have to hold my breath until then
you most likely talked with one of their retail guys who do not handle any of the Twin turbo product and for them it is a "best guess" thing. You want to speak with someone over there in dealer sales or soneone who handles the turbo systems sales end of things. The kit will work in a 3rd gen and it is symetrically the same as the old system they had.clearances etc are all the same it just uses a Fule inj setup now instead of a carb.

I talked to a very nice and seemingly very informed guy called Jason. He talked about a lot of differences. the turbos are bigger and mounted a littel higer than the old system.
He could be wrong, but he sure seemed to know what he was talking about..gave me some good advice on other things to
He said banks havent hat the new system installed in a thirdgen yet..do anyone here know if someone else have had one in ?

I was just looking at the banks system, and since it lacks a intercooler, and since a cowl hood would be required to fit it, wouldnt it make more sense to run the Vortech igloo?
I mean if you plumb a double inlet igloo you will get the air into the carb/carb style EFI with intercooling.

That would work. You would have to add a BOV too because the Banks plenum has one built in at the back near the windshield.
