I have 87 Firebird with a 305 LG4 engine in it, and I am thinking of getting a supercharger and/or nitrous in the distant future, I am needing to know if I can do this with a carbureted engine. On the Vortech Engineering site I saw that they had some kind of enclosement box for the carburetors but never said if this adapts the carburetor to help fit the supercharger or whatever, the link is http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...arbureted.html . Also I know nothing about nitrous, well......should I say cars in general heh, I was wondering if I could put nitrous on my 305 carbureted engine. Thanks.

yes,
also nitrous gives you quicker E.T.'s than a supercharger and is much cheaper.

I have run a procharger on my race car for 3.5-4 years with good results. It is carburated with 383 sbc. Just hope the blower dosent break they are very, very, so with service.

I am thinking about supercharging my 383 stroker. I need to drop the CR to 8:1 first and may have to change the cam. What model procharger are you using. I plan on staying with the 750 double pumper. another alternative which is much cheaper is a 6-71 blower.
