When should I hit the Nitrous?

I was wondering when the best time to hit the nitrous is? Should I hit it coming out of 1st into 2nd(auto)?

You don't say what ratio rear gears you have. This makes a difference. Basically it depends how much traction you have. The sooner you can engage the nitrous the better for your performance but if you just blow the tires away it is a waste of time.

As soon as you can w/o getting the tires up in smoke.

Then either you need better tires, better traction device, or wait until second. Idealy you want to hit it out of the hole. but if the car cant put it to the ground you are going to have to wait a bit.

I went to the track this weekend & towards the end of the day it was getting slippery & I started spinning a bit out of the hole. I lost 2 tenths @ the 60' mark with what felt like just a bit of wheel spin. so if the tires are going up cause of the NOS, imagine how much you are loosing, or better yet, imagine how much you are going to gain when you get the car to hook up . its all about perspective right?

Right!

that's they way I'm looking at it atleast..

I'm in the process of trying to get some equipment "LCA's and brackets/tires" to help,
that will be insane if I can even get it to stop 1/2 of the wheel spin..

but right now I need a shift kit bad
doing that in the next week or so

what are your susp. mod's Bob?

~ Weld in CE sub fram connectors.
~ SSM lift bars
~ CE drag shocks
~ 3.42 gears w/Auburn gear posi
~ MT ET streets.

this last Sunday I was hitting 1.75 60's w/pretty good regularity. towards the end of the day the track was getting slippery & I think that a bit of track bite would have helped that some (along with a real launch pad).

Remember though I am a 2nd genner not a 3rd genner.
