I beleive there are a few post about making your own. If you can cut sheetmetal save some $ and do it yourself.

I bought a box like that off E-bay several years back. The guy that made it sold them for $50. It didn't hurt the radiator flow; however, I have a 180* thermostate and I have the fans kick on early.

SLP cold air

is the cold air intake made by SLP better than this set up? if so the cold air mounts to the passenger side of the car, this is where my battery is located, what do you do with the battery? i don't want it in the trunk because i won't be able to run at the track without doing work to the trunk.

I haven't seen a third gen camaro with the battery on the drivers side. I know that the firebirds have it on the drivers side. What work would you have to do to the trunk? I thought all you needed was a master cutoff switch and a sealed box for the battery to be track legal.... just my

what exactly is the cut off switch. does it have to excess the outside of the car?
if someone could show me an example of a cut off switch that would be great.

It is outside the rear of the car. You could put it behind the license plate so nobody could see it.

Re: intake box made by hawks need some facts?

i have the hawks kit on my car. it was on it when i bought it so i cant say what difference it makes but im sure its a lot. when my car idles you can hear it hissing as it draws the air right out of the grill. sounds pretty cool i think. i can also tell a difference on the interstate, it picks up a little more pep at around 60-70mph.
