Any options with this setup?

heres what ive got
350ho crate engine
vortec heads modded for lift
1.6 rockers
xe274cam
rpm air gap
holley 750dp
not 100% sure on compression, it was 9:1

My question is do I have any options as far as supercharger or nitrous that would work well with this combo? Im really leaning towards going the way of a supercharger but am pretty ignorant in this area, if what i have wont work what would i have to do for it to be supercharger friendly? and as far as a nitrous shot could i just hit it with one as is? and if so how big a shot?

You will definately want to find out the EXACT compression ratio, that will be the determening factor on how much boost you can run.

Other than that, you will probably want to pick up a blower/turbo specific cam.

comp cams has a specific cam linup for motors running boost or nitrous.

Even better yet, phone up comp cams, give them your setup and see what they would recommend. They might even make up a custm grind for your app.

also, if you are planning on a blow through carb supercharger setup (ie. procharger) then you may need a modified blow through carb.. not completely sure if a regular 750DP will work

Re: Any options with this setup?

what about a roots blower, i.e. weiand 142, besides a cam would i also have to swap intakes? and would 9:1 be suitable for one of these?

Re: Any options with this setup?

i believe all or most roots blowers come with a intake manifold.. and 9:1 would be good with a 142

Re: Any options with this setup?

ive never had the combo im running now dyno'd or to the track but i was told it was good for 400hp, im just wondering if the numbers would be worth it after a cam swap and a 142, i had read that these are pretty much done by 500hp so would that be an attainable number or not in this situation (with 9:1)?

Re: Any options with this setup?

well...even if 500hp is attainable, after searching and reading some articles about these little blowers i have reconsidered due to cost to hp gain, it just wouldnt be worth it in my opinion, perhaps next time. I figure i could just spray it and be done with it, ive read good things about the NX Hitman so im just gonna go this route, one more question though. Would the cam i have now be ideal for using spray or should i, like was said earlier switch to a nitrous cam? thanks for the help
