got in the 9s on my second pass! TT iroc!!
Only got to make two passes all day but had allot of fun. Car still needs tuned very fat tune to be safe. First pass at 13psi went 10.5@135
second and last pass with a couple more pounds went 9.9@144 liffting of the gas for the last couple hundred feet. This was full street trim on my 17 drag radial tires and heavy 17s up front and road race shocks. I have yet to touch the suspension or even tire pressure. Both launches were soft foot brake.
Here are a couple shots. Looking to get a good dyno session in and go for 8s

Great run have always been fascinated by turbos and the amount of hp you get out of them .
Never had one but always amazed at the time run in the quarter mile.
Are they difficult to maintain and do they have turbos for different applications such as street and race ,or is it the amount of psi that you adjust it to for increase hp gain

They are all street frieldly. The truth is they are the best way to make power especialy from a reliabilty and no hassle stand point. The problem is its expensive but ounce you get everything built up you can't beat em. My car idles at 900 almost pefecty smooth and is quiet and drives like my 07 cadillac STS. I was blowing of full tubed BB car with chutes and sounded like thunder just idling around the pits.

thats were the expense comes in. There may be some bolt on kits now but when I was building it I wanted my own setup that was packaged very well and easy to work on.I ditched my AC years ago but wanted my Pwr steering. i wanted dual 3" exhaust higher than stock and it is. I made boxes under my car seats so i could run my exhaust up in the car. My ground clearence is better than stock. If you can weld then its just time. It kinda snow ***** on you but its worth it just ride in one

Why did you go for a turbo instead of a supercharger

If you do a search you will find some of my dual exhaust and fab 9" I don't think I have any of my exhaust running up under my car seats and my new tq arm setup.

Congrats man! PA turbo boys getting it done! That setup flys and is packaged so much nicer than mine.
What motor is in that now? What was your 60 foots? Able to foot brake any boost at all?

Wow, that's quite impressive,......was this your first time out in the car with the turbos?
I'm in the process of rebuilding my blown 468 and can't wait to get back out on the track. I'm hoping for mid 9's on the motor. (no nitrous)

Re: got in the 9s on my second pass! TT iroc!!
I was foot braking it but don't know if was building any boost. I only got two cracks at it and was just getting used to the new power. Both 60 foot times were 1.75. I realy didn't lean on it to much for the first two runs and that was it for the day. What were you 60 fts?

Re: got in the 9s on my second pass! TT iroc!!

When I was running the nitrous it was going between 1.30 - 1.34
On just the motor it was usually between 1.43 - 1.46
I noticed you're running a 3.00 gear ratio. What was your RPM like when you crossed the line? Also, what size converter do you have?
I'm currently running a 3800 with the anti-balooning plate.
Re: got in the 9s on my second pass! TT iroc!!
first time out with the new motor/tranny. I had a weak 355 with a t56 tranny. My converter is a PTC and it seems to be working good. On the street its nice and tight. It seems to stall to about 3000-3200. Not sure what my rpm was at the end of the track.

Re: got in the 9s on my second pass! TT iroc!!
How many cubes?
My 60's are currently in the 1.62-1.70 range but should be getting better once i get the tune down. It has a slight rich hesitation before lighting off the turbos. No boost on my footbrake either.
With the other converter I was in the mid 1.55 range at times with a best of 1.49 but it was stalling too high for my taste.
Your converter sounds tighter than mine. Mine is about 4200 but its pretty tight feeling on the street. It flashes good once you get on the gas. My max motor rpm is only about 5800 tho so far. Havent dyno'd it yet to see where the power band is. I got a feeling it may peak in the 5300 rpm but hoping its in the 5600 range.
Congrats again, thats a nice combination. Bring it to PRP sometime and we'll line up

Love the sleeper look of it. I want to get drag radials on my C6 wheels so it looks more street car going down the track as well.

What turbos are you using? T70 but some more info please.
How do you like them, spool time, big enough, too small and so on?

if he's running the same kinda turbo's I was, t70's, then its almost instant-on. No lag. That motor gets into boost quick. I have no doubt he will surprise you guys.
