What drive system are you using for your accessories and what all accessories are you using? (i.e. A/C, P/S, Alt, W/P)

Don't waste your money on the March pulley system. It won't work with the ProCharger system. Your best bet would be to go with ProCharger's Carb Chevy system and use ProCharger's repositioner bracket. (To lower the blower bracket a bit.) Give Larry @ ASSC a call and get you set up pretty nicely. (847) 838-0393 He may have some other suggestions for you as well.

As far as blower size? Larry, myself, or some of the people here on this site can help you with that, but we'll need some more info about your engine and your goals. Right now, I'd suggest a D1SC.

Re: anyone running a procharger with carb setup?

i have a 383 stroker 4 bolt main, as fas as i know it has flat top pistons and factory heads that are ported the cast number is #3998920, right now it has a holley intake which im planning to change out and i have a holley 650 dbl pumper with manul choke. i dont know what it has for a cam until i pull it out and check the specs all i know its a hydr flat tappet cam which i plan to change out for a roller cam, i would like to make about 500 hp at the motor and maybe alil less to the rear wheels i was looking at the procharger p-1sc intercooled kit they had. what other things should i do with my enigne.

A P1SC should be able to get you to that HP number, but a D1SC would do it easier. As far as the engine goes, that's a pretty broad question with no 1 right answer. My only suggestion would be to put a set of forged pistons in it.

Re: anyone running a procharger with carb setup?

Well i just had our local performance shop order my D1SC kit for blow-thru carb application on my 92RS. I shold have it in less than 2 weeks.

I know i'm gonna need a different carb but right now im using a 750 on my 383. How well does your 383 do with a 650 on it?

I switched to an elec W/P and have manual steering, so i'm only spinning an Alt off of my crank.

If i were you i would definitely go with the D1SC.

Re: anyone running a procharger with carb setup?

my 383 with the 650 seems to run ok from the lil time i got to drive it around it was just a pain on start up cause its manual choke and im not use to it, i think i may go with the D1SC for my car, i plan to run elec water pump but i wanna keep my power steering since ill be driving the car alot and using it for auto-x too, whats all done to ur 383.

Re: anyone running a procharger with carb setup?

My 383 has all forged internals, AFR 210 heads, NX288HR Comp Cam, All MSD ignition system, Super Victor Intake, Demon 750 (for now, will upgrade for D1SC), Hooker 1 3/4 full length headers.

It ran an 11.85 once i put in the new blower cam. Everybody says i will get into the 10's easily with a D1SC, maybe even high 9's if i really put some boost in it and "good" gas. I plan on running 91 from the pump since i will street drive this car quite a bit.

Re: anyone running a procharger with carb setup?

Well here's what mine looks like as of today. My best friend took on the task of polishing my brackets so i've been waiting a few weeks (well worth it).
