Need turbo help

I've been searching here and on other sites for days and have not found anyone with my setup. My question is what is the best Master Power single turbo for my setup??? I am looking to make max boost at 3000rpm. My setup is as follows; 350 stroked to 377ci, hyperutectic pistons with 8.5:1 comp. aluminum Holley System MaxII heads, roller rocker arms, roller cam (218*/224* .495" .503") Holley stealth Ram intake, 58mm BBK throttle body. 36lb injectors, 255 fuel pump. Tremec T56. Not sure about the rear gears, I took off a metal tab that said 3.73, but not sure if thats what gears are really in there. Any and all help would be appreciated!!!

Re: Need turbo help

Well I guess I'm on my own. I've decided to use the Master Power T70 with a .96 A/R. Hope it works with this setup.

Re: Need turbo help

That turbo should spool pretty quick, but might be limited in the upper rpms. You didn't state a hp goal, so I think it's hard to recommend something.

Re: Need turbo help

Q trim T70 will work but it may be limited in power production. I think the 76 would have been better. As far as I know thats the biggest they make.

The P trims will spool very quickly but back pressure would start to be a concern with higher power levels...its a 3" downpipe and I think that would be a restriction on stuff over 500whp. May see your max boost by 3000-3500 rpm tho. Q trim may be up closer to 3500-3800.

Re: Need turbo help

Oh, sorry for the lack of info in my first post. The motor has 400hp and my power goal is 550hp, but i would like to choose a turbo that would cover up to 650hp for future tuning. the power band on the intake and cam is 1500rpm-5500rpm, if this helps.

Re: Need turbo help

You get a p-trim or q-trim T70?

I think a q-trim would be better suited for back pressure issues once you get over 550hp but p-trim has been shown to work to 600 or so. T70 could get your goals with those rpm ranges. T76 still would have more room to grow. 600whp is doable from what I've seen. T70 i've heard 550-600whp as possible

Re: Need turbo help

well i had decided on the p-trim t70 but didnt buy it yet. i was so unsure of my decision that i just couldnt do it. But now i have more insight thanks to you guys, i never consider the trim either it didnt think there was much of a difference. so Q-trim T76. What about the A/R? The choices are .84 or 1.0.

Re: Need turbo help

Q-trim has the slightly larger turbine wheel and housing which should feed that motor better. Try calling Rob at modular turbo 252 562 3899 and ask him his recommendation. Or talk to VS Racing 972-987-5607

If you only want something around 650 crank hp, or in the mid high 500's whp, then T76 P-trim should be fine with the larger .96 a/r. It will spool very fast and fit that rpm range well. Thats what I'd try. IF you want to try the Q-trim, get the T4 housing Q-trim as they do have a T3 setup I think.
T4 Q-trim wheel will delay spool slightly but deliver less back pressure and give you room to take it to 700+whp possibly. Now some guys have pushed some motors to over 700whp with the P-trim T76 but it really depends on the combo, cubes/rpm and exhaust you have.

T76/T70 are about same price from what I recall, i paid the same for the T60's as I did for my T70's.
