A/W intercooler mounting

Im looking to mount a A/W under the dash. Does anyone have pictures of how they mounted theirs? What size was used. My car is not easy to get to right now or I'd measure myself but I'd like to order one so it's here when the car gets here.

Thanks

That is not the place I'd mount it. One of the things I like about an A/W is reducing the length and number of bends in the piping. Without knowing anything else about your combo, I'd try to locate it over the battery or in a similar location.

Depends on the physical size of the intercooler. If it's one of those 3 or 4000hp rated behemoths, good luck trying to find space underhood.

I'd like to keep the underhood uncluttered while not putting it in the interior as I still drive the car. Looking to support about 1500HP

Re: A/W intercooler mounting

That kinda HP lvl for a A/W-L pushes the size WAY up than what the stock dash can fit. Your gonna have some of it sticking below the lower hush panel.

Sorry no pics of a thirdgen but here are some examples from yellow just so you get the idea what your dealing with.

Just checked out your page. Looks great. I would need a straight thru cooler as I'm running twin S480s in the fog light openings with a return pump.

Blow the compressed air toward the center of the car and up into the cooler thru to the intake.

Got any pics of how you chopped the front "frame rails" and core support area. That's my next step and not sure exactly where to start.

The a/w intercooler installed without modifying the frame .The only frame cutting was for the downpipes.
