A way to support our troops (temp board or a sticky post maybe?)

I know tgo is a Tech only site. I also know we have many people here who support our troops and even people who are actually in the armed forces on this board. I ask that we simply have either a temp board, or a sticky, or someway to let people know about these sites in which they can send email to our troops. Even if nobody can post on the board or sticky post, as long as they have access to these sites. I do NOT wish to have a debate about the war on this site, just a way to let tgo users know about the following ways to show support to our troops.

Thank you.

Here is a list of sites to send emails to our troops: http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=email%20troops

Here is the quick and easy Thank You Note: http://www.defendamerica.mil/nmam.html

i like the idea and all but i cant justify seeing this happening. not only because its nontech but it is way to controversial. you are singling out the people who are against this war in this case. i wish those armed forces the best of luck but i dont like the war.

Maybe we should leave the politics to people more qualified than Personal Trainers.

No offense buddy, but I think some of the most vocal people I've seen (not that you're ranting, and ranting, or anything) have been the least educated on the issues. Comments like the one you made are usually followed up with "NUKE IRAK!" or "them 'sandniggers' were askin for it!"

as much as i agree with your intentions, i don't see it happening here at tgo. i think it would lead to a big debate over the war, and possibly get very out of hand here.

if you check out 3rdgen.org, my1stcamaro92rs posted a link for adopting a platoon. you might try checking that out, or send me an email, and i'll get you the link.
