Seeing how we have many, many 0,1 post wonders that never return for some odd reason why not have a forum where newbies can go for the extra help and what not they may need? Other forums have one and it helps with the continued use of the boards for those users. Just an idea to think about.......

 

Not a bad idea, and it could be stacked full of stickies answering such questions as:"What do i need for an A/C delete?"

 

There was actually a board like that here once a while ago. It was a Frequently Asked Questions board.

not a bad idea so new members can become informed and active as soon as they begin on here...

 

Well, I talked to Dirk about it and his response was that people will have their "Show Only Whatever Amount Of Posts" set in their preferences, which would mean after a while as more posts are made they won't see everything and start asking the same questions again and again or still get the "do a search" comment.

 

i guess people will have to be more patient, on both ends....

i'm patient. i'll try to search if i don't understand something.

 

Why not make the most commonly asked questions stickies on top of the board then? That way the most important info is already at the top of the page and will not go away.

 

Some boards are doing that already.
