Get rid of me
I believe you mean FBodies Unlimited Home Page
I'm one of the early members there (just didn't pay membership this year) and went to most of the early Beech Bend Bashes.
And, please don't try to burn any bridges. You, like me, have a car that is getting on in years.
You'll need some help from the good people on this site. Probably sooner than later.

Good thing you made this thread. Now it gives me a chance to beg you to stay.

If you really do not want to be a 'member', I can only suggest that you simply stop using your account like most people who decide to move on for various reasons.
There really is no need to delete your account, and I don't believe TGO's policy is to do such. Anyway, sometimes people change their minds and return back to TGO.

Hey Ethan, There's no need to leave here just because you are on our board now too. TGO is a great resource. There's times when I've had to come here to find answers to questions before. heck we've even pointed people to this site before when we couldn't figure something out ourselves. and BTW it's kyfbodies.org not .com

Yea Im not sure what was meant by this post but you will not find a single forum on the internet that will delete you. They will ban or lock you out but never delete. That would make the membershp number drop.
Best you can do is update your account with a bad email addy and change all the info so its not about you anymore.

Wrong, we have deleted people before if that was their decision. We wouldn't keep people around because of the Member number, LOL.

From the way JT put it I would assume not. Just most places wont delete you. If your a problem you just get locked out. I don't delete anyone so a login/user name can only be used once. Stops folks from playing games with someone eleses ID or have any confusion. Ill just jack the password and user info so it bogus.
Keeping overall member number counts wasn't my reason and actually wasn't even on my mind when I stated what I did. My simple reason for stating the above, is that there is no good reason to do so. I also don't think it is a TGO "policy" or "practice", despite it may have been done in the past upon request.
If someone really wants to leave TGO for whatever reason they have, it is better (and more normal) to simply just stop using their account. I don't see any strong reason to need to delete accounts. Doing so may not delete their past posts, put if TGO doesn't even want legit posts/threads deleted, I don't see why accounts should be any different. Member can disable PM and Email, if they are concerned about being contacted by other members through the forums.
