My grandfathers 1982 SC held several Super Stock National Records in the early 90's which had a 292 c.i. (V8) 4 speed car that ran mid 9's and my 1982 SC with a LT1 T-56 swap in progress that was a factory 4 cyl 4 speed car.
Hi there,
Here's mine, 1986 V6 SC, near as I can tell only 5 options: two-tone paint, body side moldings, carpeted floor mats, cruise control, and rear defogger. Very bare-bones! But fun to drive, and row thru the gears!

Thanks DynoDave43, hope to see your Trans Am on Woodward next week!
I should be out there. I usually like to go out the weekend before, and Mon-Wed before, while you can still actually drive. I may make it out this weekend, but M-W are out for me this year. So I'll probably have to settle for a Thursday night cruise.
The Michigan F-body group is talking about congregating in the Staples parking lot just north of Square Lake on Woodward, so I may spend some time in there.
Any love for '88 Sport Coupes? C'mon guys ya know ya like that spoiler
is that silver or gold on the bottom? I've got the same car if it's gold, well it was originally same car. That spoiler was replaced for a high rise 91-92 by previous owner. I'm replacing high rise with 3 piece. Lol

It's silver and she's beautiful! I hate to say but thanks to a Honda Civic in the rain today my girl isn't as clean anymore she's still running and she'll be repaired, I'm not giving up on my baby!! I was just coming back from buying wax and rim cleaner too

Ah that's too bad, beautiful car though. I have an 88 sport coupe just like it.
As you can see, mine needs new paint and someone put an iroc hood on it. It was also slightly t-boned on the passenger side and that door needs replaced. These are the pictures from when I bought it.
Thanks Bonemaro and super nice car, mine used to look just like that! No IROC hood or V8 tho haha. I can't even sleep thinking about today but I know I will rebuild her

man that's horrible. I had a 91 rs 305 car when I was younger, hit a hog and screwed it up pretty good.
For it all the 88 sport coupe guys..what rear end/brakes do you have? My old 88 sc was 10 bolt drum. Current car is 9 bolt rear disc.
Mines 9 or 10 bolt drum, was kinda hard to tell cuz I just checked in the dark haha. It does suck but I spent my day removing the hood and fender and setting them square. Got all day tomorrow too
Anybody got some more Sport Coupe pics? Hate to be jacking the thread just for 88s
Here's my 86 SC - 2.8/t5 Red on red....didn't even have a spoiler (which I loved) Looks about as bare as Ktthecarguy's 86!

Wow, deja vu! Thanks for the nice trip down memory lane. Looking forward to making memories like yours, with my car and my kids.
