car got broken into.....

It sucks, yesterday morning i woke up and was heading outside to go to work; i noticed my driver side door was propped open. Wait a minute, i locked my door last night. Then i noticed some stuff was out of place, then i looked up on my windshield.......G-tech is gone, radar detector is gone, and my C.B. radio is gone (the C.B. radio was a christmas present from my girlfriend, for our first christmas), look up and my freakin C.D.'s are gone! They tried to get my stereo, all i have to say is those stupid torx screws that everyone hates, saved my skin. I about started crying, then i thought "oh no they got into Chelseas (My sister)car too." Sure as hell i turn around to her Formula and look into the window and her stereo is gone. Same exact thing as mine door popped open.
This whole thing wasnt fun by any means, however, im glad they did no damage to our thirdgens. Thanks to their "civility" i can still come down there!!
cant wait!!!

Happened to me a couple months ago..

Noticed the car door was open, everything pretty much gone. They took my Alpine 1.5 did HU. To this day I still don't have tunes in my car... I simply can't afford it.

That.. and I am a picky bastard. Its hard to find a good 1.5 din HU.

yeah this is gonna happen when you have a nice car like yours....mine has been broken into about 3 times already ....it just makes you want to catch the bastard in action and beat the s*** out of him.....i rather have him steal little things than take the whole car since i use a club most of the time ...MAN alot of stuff been happening right before the meet which really sucks

btw...one time i didnt have a radio for a long time...so i cut a picture out of the box from the radio...and then someone broke in to my car and must of thought s*** all that for nothing. A few times i took my German shepard with me and left him inside the car ...never did have a problem once

nope no alarm. im thinking that it might be linked to best buy. my sister got her stereo installed there. 2 years ago a friend of mine got his stuff stolen and best buy did it. couple others got stolen too, theirs were at best buy. associates were giving out personal info to their buds so they could jack stuff they installed.

That happened to a friend of mine's truck. He worked about 2 blocks from the best buy (same shopping center - kindof detached)...The stuff was so hidden the best buy guys had to be connected somehow.

They weren't so nice as to leave the car a few years ago. I had another 89--Maroon--prety much stock--but in REALLY clean good condition until they got it and ran the crap out of it. They took the whole car--sat in the driveway for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. The first night back it was stolen out of the driveway.

My current white one sleeps in the garage every night now! Still set the alarm!

thieves suck!

Sorry to hear about that k89, good to hear you will still be making it to the meet tho man. I spent 400 on my alarm system it came with remote start so it is pretty cool. A couple people tell me I got ripped off but I can relax now whille at work. I work at HEB and I don't live in the best neighborhood in the world so I think the alarm was well worth the 400.00. I still use the club, remove my head unit, hide all cds and anything else that some crackhead on the take might think will get him closer to his next rock! If I see a penny I hide that too lol.

I hate to hear about thirdgens getting stolen. Did you guys hear about those cars that are getting stolen at carshows? So far they have taken a 55 chevy and a tricked out monte carlos. keep an eye on your car at all times while at those carshows!

I priced alarms installed a couple years ago. I do NOT think a good alarm system with a remote start for 400.00 is a rip-off!

finally

Finally someone that understands where I am coming from! I hate it when people try to discourage you from doing what you want to do. Hell when I found my car on the net and told em I was gonna go to amarillo,tx to pick it up they almost talked me out of it. Sure glad I did'ent listen to them! I need to get away from all these negative people!

k's89rs, i hate to tell you this, but they may come back & hit you & your sister again. its not all that uncommon for them to hit a car & then return a month or 2 later & hit the same car again figuring you have replaced everything, maybe even with better stuff than you had before.
do get a good alarm system, i trust no one at the alarm & stereo shops, best buy, circuit city, & the other places included, they hire anyone. i recommend installing it yourself. hide everything except for the flashing lights. get a second siren from somewhere else & wire it in.
quality costs, the alarm on my POS of a car cost me over $130.00 15 years ago for just the alarm wholesale.
something that would have probably helped Zap out on his other car would have been a Steadfast steering column collar. once its on you forget about it. ask hitman about removing 1 of them, it isn't easy.
anything you can do to slow them down & think twice, the more likely it is they will move on to someone else's car.

I always thought someone who is a hitman would be more of a people person, than a car guy
