Fall Brawl/Rain Date--Sun. or next weekend?
With the distinct possibility that we will be able to get in the Fri night action at the strip, but get completely rained out on Sat, please post whether it would be better for U to do the BBQ/park thing the next day (Sun 11/27/05) or to do it the following weekend as originally planned.
If we do get rained out both Fri night at the strip as well as Sat at the park, I'm thinkng it would be better to have the whole thing next weekend?

Sue and I can go either date--makes no difference.
Since everybody is all geared up for this weekend, it would seem like it might be better to do it Sunday, especially considering there a few "out of towners" planning on making the trip!!! The weather forecast looks pretty good for that day!
Where's the darn "EASY" button U see on the TV commercial???

OK, I am making the decision.
IF we are rained out Sat 11/26/05 at Bear Creek Park, the rain date is:
THE NEXT DAY--SUNDAY 11/27/05!!!
Same time, but no cruise since there will be no car show at Sam's. See main FB post in main thread for times ETC .
We will not have the pavillion reserved, but Bear Creek is a big park and there is plenty of room for us to gather!!!

Well - unfortunately neither date is good for me and my bunch. I'm headed back to Arkansas on Sunday (and with an 11 hour drive I can't exactly leave late in the afternoon).
This means - somebody will need to bring paper plates in my absence & some generous person can pay for my 2 reserved shirts and I can paypal them the money to ship them to me/pay them back (Zap it would be great if you'd do that - but if you can't maybe somebody will volunteer)
Funny thing is I really enjoyed this year's "gathering." My family came out to the track and I got the best run I've ever gotten at the 1/4.

We will take care of the BBQ supplies....not a problem.
Yes I can do the paypal thing, I'll figure out the total and shipping and shoot u a pm.
So, refresh my memory, what kind of time did U run? Did u get to run after the 10.5 qualifying round.
Everything was so disorganized that i lost track of who, what and where, because of the mad scramble to get in one run afterwards.
VERY disappointed in HRP, not living up to their earlier statements to me in a couple different e-mails, about "running as long as we needed to accomidate everybody, and intend to send them an e-mail stating our disatisfaction, in the evening and how everything was run!!!
Oh yeah....U get the "long distance award".....for what that is worth. Even though u won't be here for the BBQ part, U did make the trip and if it were not for the weather I know U would be there.

Even though it looks like the big turnout will be tomorrow because of the weather, i told several people I would be there regardless of the weather, just incase we have a "mini" meet/BBQ. So anybody that wants to come hang out in the rain, we will be there!!!
If anybody does NOT want to come out today, may I recommend that u go to the BIG Autorama car show at the Astrodome comples ...uh...the "Reliant center"!!!
If anybody knows how to get ahold of 3.1EyeCandy, let him know what's going on!!!!

Well I had fun doing it today and I will be there tomorrow as well. About 6 of us showed up and had a nice time in the sunshine. It was Me, Kent and Mrs, Zap and Mrs, Barry, Jay, and the guys from Orange,Tx(Sorry I am bad with new names). We also cruised down to Sams hoping to see a few cars, but no one was there. Oh well, I hope we have a big turn out tomorrow.

I only got 1 run in (what a disappointment to only get 1 run. at least it was good). I ran a14.947 @ 91.78 mph 1/4 with a 2.141 60 foot. That's my personal best and only at the 1/4
