Engine is giving me some problems, thought i'd get rid of it and put another one in. Not looking for horse power right now, just looking to switch out my current 305 for another one so everything plugs up and I can go with no worries.

So my question does anyone know of any places besides a junk yard I can snag up a rebuilt 305? Any Motor dealers in the dfw area? Appreciate it.

i've got one down here in Houston. came out of an '80's model Firebird.

 

I have a L69 w/700R4 tranny w/shift kit, that came out of a '84 Z28. Mild Comp cam, Performer intake Power Pulleys, w/ all accessoreies, no exhaust-$850 obo/pair

Just under 1,700 miles, not a typo of 17,000, or 170,000......just under seventeen hundred miles on it.

Not the original '84...New GM crate motor, with the cam and intake swapped before it was ever started. PM me if interested

Appreciate it guys, going to see if I can get this timming issue fixed and see what happens from there. Might have some miles left in it yet. If not, I will go for there haha.

 

Is it a roller block with one piece rear seal? If so I might be interested, looking for a 305 in good running condition, no accessories or intake needed.

Check with a place called Blaines Motor Supply in Dallas, IIRC a rebuilt roller 305 is $580 with core trade in, 350 is $560. They have a 12 month warranty
