HEY TBI is okay .

I could probably make one for ya, i use 29c256 chips 28 pin not the 24pin, youd have to get yourself and adapter which is like $30 and the chips are $6 which are reuseable many times. unless you wanna use the one time only (stock) chips which i have no idea where to buy them. kinda a waste of $

youve got an Automatic as well.......hmmm ill have to read up on autos though...

just curious, have you got an afpr?

The only useful thing to edit on an automatic is the torque convertor lockup MPH.

neg. the hole air/fuel curve redone *according to Pro Dyno* gives 10% hp/tq increase just in that alone.

That's a curve, you can do that with a manual. I'm talking automatic specific options.

To make a chip the right way, isn't a one day deal. When I tuned my stealth ram, I burned 7 chips over 4 days.

I think I have a Moates adapter for using 29C256 proms in the TBI ECM. Gotta look though. Email me if interested.

I can do chips too, but it's been a couple years, so I'm rusty.

Ryan,

To answer your question, there would be pretty much no point to burning a chip when you have no mods. The stock chip is best for an unmodded engine.

But the mods you have don't require a new chip.

I saw that setup in the magazine. Problem is I already had my heads and cam done by the time the article came out. I have TPI heads with an L98 cam and a killer exhaust. When I get the intake and tuning all done, I would hope to make @ 250hp.

Despite the high horse power number they say they are getting in the magazine, they are having some bad tuning problems below 3000 rpm. Just about the same place I am right now.
