I case you don't know.....the SR runnners hit the bolt head so it didn't fit.
I took a rotary file and lowered the surface and then used a countersink and a tapered head 5/16" allen head bolt. Now the bolt head is flush. (had to do this on two of them) Walla...problem solved
Look closely at picture again and you will see it.

Vortec heads?

So we definately don't have to worry about the smog laws here in CA for the Vortecs?

I know we've gone through this before prolly, but is the final word that they'd be ok?

Cuzz I want to start gathering parts....

It all depends on which test only station you go to. It requires hooking up the EGR like the corvette. To most of them a SB chevy is just that....a SB chevy

FYI - if you look for a set of 1.6 rollers that will fit on Vortec heads the LT4 Rollers fit nicely

I bought them to install on my IROC but the rollers do not clear the springs on the heads. They look just like the crane gold race rockers. They are aluminum in color with a Bow Tie stamped on them as well as a 1.6, I bought them from SDPC, I just looked over the site and found them

I hope that helps

I could have used them on the Trickflow heads, but like I said the body of the rocker itself rested on the valve spring retainer - not good

If you are interested in these rockers for your motor, shoot me a PM as I still have them and don't current have a project to use them on

Of course branden if you would of listened to Gene you would have AFR's flowing more air, and wouldnt need a custom intake

Though getting the super ram with those vortecs is pretty cool looking.
